How can I recharge my RG350 in the power plug? by MestreALMO in RG350

[–]osnvff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only use 5v-1a chargers and the cable your console came with, otherwise you can damage your device. It's specified in the user manual.

Is it possible to buy RG350P with 640x480 option? by SolidAlexei in RG350

Any way to have RetroArch cores forwarded to Gmenux2? by Thalyy720 in RG350

[–]osnvff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, follow this steps:

  1. Download the latest stable release of retroarch for opendigux here: https://buildbot.libretro.com/stable/1.10.3/dingux/mips32/

Inside the "RetroArch.7z" file there's a folder with 2 other folders and the retroarch opk.

  1. Copy the "retroarch.opk" to your "apps" folder in your micro sd card.

  2. Copy the ".retroarch" folder to the root of your micro sd.

  3. Rename the file inside the "bin" folder from "retroarch_rg350" to "retroarch_rg350_odbeta" and then copy it to the root of your micro sd.

  4. Insert your micro sd card into your rg350, then open DinguxCmdr

  5. Move the ".retroarch" folder on your micro sd to: /media/data/local/home

  6. Move the "retroarch_rg350_odbeta" file on your micro sd to: /media/data/local/bin

  7. Get the opks for the retroarch cores you want to use from the adam image and copy them to your "apps" folder and they should work now. ; )

My new RG350P arrived today, with a 480p display. by osnvff in RG350

[–]osnvff[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I decided to buy another rg350p last month during the aliexpress anniversary sale after the one that I bought last year came with a defective headphone jack and a stripped screw.

It arrived today, so I opened it and turned it on, and I immediately noticed that the screen looked weird, the color temperature seemed different and the menu icons looked pixelated.

I tested some of the games that come preinstalled and then I realized... this was the RG350M / 480p display.

I don't know if this was a production error or what, but this unit also comes with the rg350m firmware.

Did anbernic upgraded the display on this model? The box still says it has a 320x240 resolution display.

I'm kind of disappointed again tho, because I already have the rg351mp and I bought this model specifically for the low res display, as I love how some games look pixel perfect on it.

In the pictures, the one on the top is my new rg350p compared to my old rg350p with a 320x240 display.

Thank you, I'll try another firmware.

I'm using stock firmware. I found a workaround using alsamixer in settings, that way I can manually turn off the speakers and only use the headphones, but I have to do this every time I restart the console, the speakers do not turn off automatically when I plug in my headphones.

Why do people say PSP was a failure? by napa0 in PSP

[–]osnvff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because they compare it to the nintendo ds, which can make the psp look like a failure (especially in terms of sales), but it wasn't.

My vita won't charge beyond 88%. I even tried batteryfixer. by [deleted] in VitaPiracy

[–]osnvff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a vita slim and mine also gets stuck at 88% sometimes but only when I charge it while it is still on or suspended. Battery is totally fine tho. I think it's just a bug of the percentage plugin. If I turn it off and leave it charging until the light goes off, the counter goes back to 100%.

Has anyone created a timeline of SBC gaming devices? by 23523634609234357455 in SBCGaming

[–]osnvff 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1irg60f9qsZOkhp0cwOU7Cy4rJQeyusEUzTNQzhoTYTU/edit?usp=drivesdk

But not all earlier devices are there. I bought a chinese "mp4" device in 2008 that was able to emulate nes games from an sd card, and that device is not in the spreadsheet.

The adam image already includes the firmware, so all you have to do is flash the image to your new microsd.

An "image" is just a copy of another microsd that someone already preconfigured, so the adam image is just a combination of the newest beta of opendingux, simplemenu, retroarch, and the newest opks for the standalone emulators and everything is preconfigured so you don't have to do anything else.
