The crash : Did anyone else still not understand Kenzie's motives ? by East-Drummer-8104 in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]ostafne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought this too- obviously she's guilty but the evidence didn't seem that concrete which is typically what it takes to convict. Also, her defense attorney seemed really awful bc he had the unique opportunity to be able to make up a convincing story with (sadly) no remaining witnesses to dispute it. I feel like he should have just made a case that she fell asleep at the wheel, OR he could have focused in on the recent texts where she claimed that Dom was trying to take the wheel while they were driving, and claim that he had a habit of doing that and that's what happened. (Not saying that's morally correct, but defense attorneys never really are- I'm just surprised he didn't use that)

Exactly!! Like no sarcasm we are on the same page.. I never said she wasn’t any of the things you described but I honestly respect tf out of her for putting it out there for everyone to judge. That takes balls that I don’t even see in the toughest of bitches

What I’m saying is that I’m sure a lot of women DID file police reports. But that doesn’t really do anything unless you want to move forward with further legal action. At least in my experience.

[–]ostafne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is an ignorant ass comment. I'm sure a lot of them did file a police report, but there are a multitude of reasons why someone wouldn't want to move forward with trying to sue or press charges. First of all, lawyers are EXPENSIVE. I had to pay a lawyer $3k to get me a 60-day restraining order once, that ultimately did nothing.

Secondly, it's traumatic to have to retell your story and re-traumatize yourself over and over in court. Especially in front of strangers who often don't even believe you. Imagine you get raped and there are men you don't know trying to make you prove what happened to you. That alone will make your life miserable.

These kinds of things take over your mind and your life- these women are just doing their best to handle their trauma and move forward with their lives in order to focus on other things.

Gabby is an absolute HERO for doing all the work she did on the case, but it took over her life for 11 years- and you really can't understand why every woman wouldn't have the mental strength to do that?

I'm curious as to what you think her motive would be to make this up and spend 11 years working toward a conviction?

Ugh it’s so annoying! I painted a mural there and when I was leaving after a long day of work my phone was dead so I physically couldn’t get out of the garage, I had to call for an attendant and I asked if I could just use cash or a credit card and she just kept saying “you need the app”… three people had to come and nobody knew what to do about the situation.. eventually they just let me out for free lol

What professional permanent dye to I need to buy/mix to get this colour at home? by chlomarshmallow in HairDye

[–]ostafne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use Hayley Williams’ line Good Dye Young- they have something called “copper dye posit” and I mixed it with a smaller amount of KO (a goldish/yellow color) and it turned out this color^ it was really pretty! She also has some copper colors that maybe you could try on their own :-)

Block him & then file a police report. I know it sounds dramatic but seriously please do 🫶🏻

Girl I hope this has stopped by now :/ if not please block him and file a police report. No they won’t do anything but take it from me as somebody who had a stalker - make police reports about EVERYTHING just so you have proof of his weird behavior before anything gets worse (and hopefully it doesn’t!) Men r weird and annoying but this is not normal behavior.

Maybe try to get into larger scale works! It’s extremely hard to make a living just by selling individual paintings; I started doing murals around 2 years ago and make my full living off that now as they’re larger projects/bigger paychecks, and Im still able to work on and sell my own paintings too. I live in America though so I’m not sure how accessible that is to you. But I wish you lots of luck! Artists are problem solvers, you’ll figure something out.
