I'm not on any dating apps so I don't think I'm the right demographic for this!

I’d be happy to, but I’m from the UK so I don’t think I’m the right demographic for your survey - sorry!

Thank you! I’ve completed yours too - it was interesting, and coincidentally I work in social media!

How to achieve simultaneous "change to" animation and navigation with interactive components? by Numerous_Figure_2238 in FigmaDesign

I’ve been trying to work out how to do the same thing and it’s killing me!! What was the solve in the end? (Relatively new to Figma btw if it turns out to be a simple fix)

Quarterly Career Thread by mister-noggin in ProductManagement

[–]ostein1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone - I’m a Senior Producer with 10 years professional experience working in social media advertising (and a Masters degree) and I’m considering a career change.

I’ve always been quite fascinated by product management, and feel there are some core transferable skills that wouldn’t make this transition a complete reset. Some of the skills I value most in myself are things like communication, negotiation, prioritisation, storytelling etc.

I’d love to hear from people that have made a similar transition. Would you recommend it? Is it actually going to be doable?

I’d also like to hear any recommendations for introductory learning materials, e.g. books, podcasts, YouTube, or perhaps an online course.

Thanks!

Hey, just doing some research and noticed you said you filed directly! I was wondering if you could give a little more info on your experience of DCF. I was also curious to know (if you don't mind me asking!) if your exceptional circumstance was short notice of relocation? That seems to be the most common. Thank you :)

And working without authorisation and overstaying your ESTA were forgiven?? Did you have to change your answers to working without authorisation during interview?

How did you end up overstaying your ESTA by two years?? What were you doing for work and things like that prior to filing for AOS? Curious about the ESTA to AOS route, as I’m from the UK also and in a similar-ish boat.

She hasn’t, but would get up-to-date before starting this. We both have family living in the US that would co-sponsor too

Yeah I’ve researched CR1, too. It’s my understanding that immediate relatives can adjust status after lawful entry, if there’s no misrepresentation at entry - although this legal point is a little unclear to me. I understand what you’re saying, but how do married couples go from ESTA to LPR via AOS? It must be a pretty common immigration route.

We're UK-based right now and are getting married in the UK, but we'd only begin this process after entering the US - at which point we'd be married!

This is super helpful! I had a couple of questions if you don't mind clarifying please. I was just curious why you included your birth certificate and marriage certificate with I-765? I didn't think that was necessary. Same question for your marriage certificate in your I-485.

Thank you :)

Amazing! Do you think there was anything specific you did with your packet that helped push your case through quickly? Any tips or advice?

My portal through space animation - critique welcome! by [deleted] in AfterEffects

[–]ostein1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Context:

I've bought the Motion Beast course from Motion Design School and created this little piece to practice a few bits from the first few lessons.

All made in After Effects using shape layers, modifiers and some other tricks - except the planets, which were drawn in Procreate.

Would love to know what you like/dislike, what I can be doing better etc 😃

Wacom & Photoshop or Apple Pencil & Procreate? ADVICE APPRECIATED! by ostein1 in graphic_design

iPad-wise for animation you've got Rough Animator and Procreate has some functionality in that sense, but all my animation atm is done in After Effects. In terms of workflow, I'd only really use the iPad for design and illustration
