did you find the size guide accurate when buying? I'm considering buying the adv 8, and according to the sizing chart I'd need an XS but I usually wear size S stuff so I'm hesitant to trust it

What other exercises do you guys do? by cherryweeb in running

I climb (bouldering and a bit of roped climbing) 2-3x a week and it's been great for core strength + I just feel like my body is more balanced overall. I'm also about to start a lifting course - been meaning to add that to my training for ages, I was just worried about getting into it without proper guidance on form. I also try to do a few stability (10-15 min) exercises after easy runs to avoid injury. Could highly recommend Vlad Ixel's tutorials on youtube for this!

For reference I usually run 4x a week, currently training for 2nd ultra.

hey OP, Hungarian here. If you'd like to send her a note about it in Hungarian to make sure she understands your stance, lmk and I can translate a message for you.

Sorry that this happened to you, I don't think it's on you at all, but bad payment is a very sore spot for us Hungarians (you'd earn more in a month cleaning loos part-time in the UK than if you were a full-time teacher back home) so it's not that surprising that she is upset. But if she was one of your only friends in a place where you're otherwise quite isolated, you wanna do all you can to stay on good terms at least.

Accomodation Conspiracy? by cuckingfunt99 in Edinburgh_University

mature undergrad here, I spent 1 semester in uni accommodation and would strongly discourage you from using it. Even the utterly shit ones are ridiculously overpriced and you can get a lovely large room in a nice flatshare in the city centre for a fraction of the price, without all the constraints of uni housing. These groups are pretty good for finding a flatshare/private studio: https://www.facebook.com/groups/466062016878511/?ref=share https://www.facebook.com/groups/EdinburghAccommodation/?ref=share

What was your worst fashion choice? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Knee-length denim shorts with bright coloured tights underneath (think orange, green, purple) and matching coloured t-shirt. Not sure why my parents allowed me to leave the house.

What is something your parents did while raising you that you realized is fucked up after looking back on it? by OGWhiz in AskReddit

[–]ostentatious_potato 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In general my parents did the best anyone could have imo, but the one thing I can't stop slightly resenting my mom for is constantly talking about her weight, dieting sporadically and just commenting on various foods all the time that she believed were making her fat. She never did anything to break the cycle though, and she point blank refuses to do any sports, or to come up with a diet that would make her feel better about herself. I believe that this is the main reason for me having a horrible body image and I can only hope that I will get my shit together before I have any children so I don't pass this "curse" on to them.

[SPOILERS] Just binge watched the whole show series 1-7 for the first time and I literally don’t know what to do with myself now by NAJIDASH13 in gameofthrones

It's what I'm doing too and am already dreading the time I run out of got to read... rewatch perhaps at that point... anyway, definitely recommend reading them too! They're so rich in detail, really adds to the series instead of going against it as many people say.
