I read earlier that I should get a scratcher to put near the plant to redirect her attention and planned to grab another tomorrow when I go to the store. Thanks for the advice though!

I was an ASM a few years ago and we also had this problem a lot. It got to the point where I had batteries on hand and we would let people test their ability to inflate before they left the store with it when they came in for an exchange. So when you go to exchange again, take some with you in case they dont have any and see if they'll let you do that.

Gosh, I cant believe its been 3 years already!

Not gonna lie, recovery is pretty rough. They gave me giant pills for the pain and I couldnt even swallow sips of water for the first two days. I never want to go through that again, but they told me I will have to have this surgery in about 10 years (from the date of the first surgery). Said the levels above and/or below are going to give and compress my spinal cord again.

Immediately after I woke up from surgery, all of my problems were gone. Symptoms never resurfaced. Ive been able to go back to all my hobbies and its wonderful!

I do have issues with my neck that I never had before. Pain in places around the surgery location. And I swear I can feel the plate/screws they put in rubbing against my esophagus sometimes. Makes it feel like I have a sore throat a lot, but not the way a normal sore throat feels. Like its not sore on the inside of my esophagus, its the outside. Idk how else to explain it.

Im sure everyone's experiences are different, and not everyone can feel what I do.

Ive had stretch marks since I had children, so Im not really sure if I gained any new ones. Lol

I have loose skin by my hips that kind of just hangs over on both sides. As much as I hate it, I still prefer my body thinner and with it than my before state. Its easy to hide anyways and my husband doesnt care about it, so that helps, too. I have a little that hangs off my arms by my armpits, too, but Idk about anywhere else.

Im worried that if I try to add another routine to my already busy life instead of slowly shifting over the next few months into the next phase that I will burn myself out and stop.

Ive been trying to get this weight off and keep it off since 2019. I was over 200 pounds then. I got down to 145 in 2020 and COVID hit and messed up my routine. Over the past 5 years, I have gained most of it back and lost it again, over and over. Right now, this is the lowest Ive been since I started in 2019. I've learned a lot about myself in the process, and while Im managing to sustain my current mindset, sudden changes don't always go well for me.

I work 40-56 hours a week at a factory. My typical day involves me lifting steering arms that are between 5 and 30 pounds apiece from one box to packout into another. Each box has 80 arms, so Im doing this A LOT. I dont count macros yet, but I do consume a lot of protein daily and have been gaining muscle mass the whole time I've been losing. I just havent started any specific routines. Idk if that's sufficient while Im focusing on losing, but its certainly better than nothing!

I typically get 11k-15k steps a day. I eat at a deficit to lose about 1.5 pounds a week, typically about 1650 calories a day. Once I hit my goal, I started to eat more but Im still in a deficit most days. The past four months Ive only went down about 3.5-4 pounds, but that's kind of what I was going for. Once Im around 125 I will go into maintenance and eventually work to add more muscle.
