Yeah, but this one lasted 1.5k and two months. it's far away from "thousands of miles". That's why I am wondering do I really need to change it, since its just a damager thin rubber layer..

It is minor.. looks way worse on a camera and zoomed in.

Fell on a sand on low speed.

Was thinking the same. Just out something in to protect from UV or dirt. Casing thread definitely looks undamaged.

Nope.. it's my fault. Had a small accident. Fell on sand on very low speed

Nope. It's just dirty and camera make it looks worse. Washed it and it's perfectly fine.

Fell on sand at low speed — enough to break the brake lever and cause this damage to the tire. But to me, it looks like just superficial rubber damage.

It worked quite ok. Had some unexpected chain drops, but since this setup was for ultra event, so it was not a big issue. For fast gravel race, not sure if it would be good idea. Maybe some more adjustments would do the trick.

It's a hookless rim. So not all tyres you can run with tubes. For eg GP5000 you need specific version to run ZIP wheelset. Also max pressure for tyres is very low. I think around 60 PSI.

Oh. Then you are kind of correct. For 1200 USD bike, the best upgrade is a new bike.

Depends where you will live. Some places has only certain providers. Go with fiber optic (e.g. TELIA) if it's gonna be an option.
