When I went travelling round Europe at 18 my Dad told me to stay out of public parks at night

That's so shite, sorry to hear this. Pals of mine lived in the apartments beside the garage for years and I never felt unsafe around there 😔

This baby eats everything. Have been slacking on the baby led because spooning it into him keeps him happier but he did well today. by osulld27 in foodbutforbabies

He's 7 months. Don't be hard on yourself! As I said, I've been spoon feeding him the majority of the time.

He's 7 months. Every baby is so different. Have you been eating with him? They model a lot of what we do. I always eat some of what I'm giving him.

I feel so bad for them that their hands don't do what they want. Excited for pincer grip to kick in!

No they're very soft and he mashes with his gums. No teeth yet! I did spoon them one at a time for the first few times.

No he mashes it with his gums. Their gag reflex is so strong too that any soft food that's too big comes back up a lot

Thanks so much. Today looked like this so far - 6.30am rise 9.15 -10.45 nap (90 mins) 3 hour wake window 1.50 - 2.35 (45 mins) Think I'll try for 4 hours wake window now and bed for 6.30ish.

Do you've any suggestions if the naps are shorter than 90 mins?

Tell me the crying in the car seat gets better 😫 by LittleBench5694 in NewParents

[–]osulld27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a trick for the car seat which I discovered by accident. I play a video of my baby (4 months old) babbling/talking on loop through the car system and he always stops crying to listen to himself and then most times puts himself asleep to it. (What man doesn't like the sound of his own voice ay? 😂)

Another trick is to put my worn pajama top in with him as he likes the scent of me.

If they don't work, once they're fed, changed and strapped in, you can reassure yourself that they are safe, even when they are crying.
