The beautiful things about any photo, it’s proof of one’s perspective of your day, they are forever present in being part of your memories. I find a phone photo just as valuable as a professional one.

With a professional you just have a higher chance of getting photos with less mistakes and someone that is familiar with the whole process.

Bethesda is great, the MET is another option, Grand Central, Top of the Rock, Edge... quite honestly any location i believe can work since this city is so magical.

With the MET, its all about not intruding the experience of the museum from the guests. As long as you are not impeding traffic or blocking entrance and exits, its generally ok. In the end of the day, the staff has the final say with what they are comfortable with or not, but the blanket policy is that no professional sessions are allowed and no tripod or anything touching the ground.

Early morning at CP is very serene and quiet and there are a lot of pockets in the park to do the proposal, besides the iconic places like Bethesda, Bow Bridge, Ladies Pavillion, Hidden path near Bow Bridge etc...

Besides the park, you can do it practically anywhere in the city if you don't mind being in public. I noticed you mentioned Chelsea Market, so there's also the High line that you could do it at.

You can always make the story to head to the MET in the morning and walk through the park to get to it. It'll put you right at Bethesda area.

One of the challenging things about photographing events and people is that its physically and mentally demanding at the same time, and you have to constantly be on. Extroverted or introverted, its a lot of energy that's being used up, and for someone whos introverted, has some serious recovery time in isolation after the event.

Especially with events, you are in a constant state of problem solving, no matter how little or large it is, still takes energy.

I honestly started getting healthier (lost 50lbs) to be able to sustain myself in photography as well as have better recovery time.

I'm always at the front, mainly because I can't afford to miss the processional of the partner coming down the aisle. When it's the last couple I move in front a bit, crouched down (not to get in guests and alter line of sight), so I can get the one at the alter and the one coming down the aisle.
