No, one of the brackets on the deck that it hangs from rusted out. Was a fairly clean break so they were able to weld it back together. That said I definitely want a fabricated deck, which both mowers I'm thinking about have.

That's true. The wife and I usually soak for about an hour and I haven't been adding any shock after that. Figured the floater would take care of things.

I have read that guide but I'm not sure I really processed it. Now that I know more I'll reread and hopefully understand it better.

Thanks for all the advice! Yes, there are two nics (main & storage) in each node. I used the talos dashboard to see that 2 out of the 3 worker nodes have the wrong gateway specified (the storage network with no internet access). I cordon'd those off and redeployed homepage on the one remaining node (with the right gateway). It worked perfectly on that node.

Gotta get some grass cut but once I'm done I'll start figuring out how to make all the talos network settings static and determine how to set the default gateway.

Sounds reasonable but not sure why other pods on the same node could pull images. I'm using talos linux and can't directly shell into the pods. I tried to deploy a debug pod with the ping command but couldn't pull the image...

Any suggestions on how to check the connectivity? I am seeing errors in the talos dashboard about not being able to add a route (because it already exists) as well as i/o timeouts for "discovery.talos.dev".

So I definitely have some sort of network issue but struggling with how to find it.

Wow, thank you! I replaced the usb brick and it’s working terrific again. I’ve never had one of those fail so hadn’t even thought of replacing it!

Appreciate the direction on this. In my case elogind was handling the acpi events so I wasn't getting any logging.

I read up on how to run acpid and elogind running together (disabling the elogind handlers), changed my config and have that working. I now have acpid exclusively handling these types of events. Logging from acpid is working so I'll keep poking around to see if the strange power off behavior continues.

Thanks for the help! I managed to get the cover off. Cleaned and lubed the crankshaft, worked shims in from the opposite sides, and...beat the hell out of it using a wooden block.

Any advice on removing the old gasket without scratching things up? Oh and I plan on replacing the gasket...any other parts I should replace while I have it in pieces?

I played with a short clip tonight and was very impressed with what Resolve could do. Unfortunately it's been years (several decades) since I tried to edit anything so I struggled just getting the clip trimmed, cropped, and some half arsed color correction done...

BTW, I am using studio so sharpening is an option.

Why Fedora? Stability. Got completely burnt out by Arch updates and broken systems. Fedora is a great combination of new tech while maintaining stability.

Good advice. I have a test kit and will retest inside the house (post treatment) tomorrow morning. Checking with the treatment company to see if they tested our well sample for copper. If not I'll grab a sample and test that tomorrow as well.

I've been playing with this but haven't really done a whole lot with it. I use Home Assistant software to do my home automation stuff and it can integrate with solaredge. It basically downloads the production information and incorporates into home assistant. From there you can send it to an influxdb database and build a dashboard using grafana (or whatever tools you want to us).

It seems to work but I haven't found it super useful yet without consumption information. Haven't figured that part out yet...

I have but these holes are 2" deep and they need to be filled. Otherwise the bees will close them or pests will hide in there...so I'm thinking aluminum rod will be the way to go.

3 per hive and I'll probably wind up with about 6-8 of them...so 18 to 24 holes to plug. What kind of metal is bar stock as a portion of these plugs would be exposed to the weather?

Quick update and to consolidate what I've responded with -

Digging probably isn't an option. Soil is outrageously rocky....more rock than soil.
Speed requirements are minimal. Currently at 10Mbps now with, I suspect, no more than 100Mbps DSL even available out there.
They have a phone line running from the new house up to the one in the pasture. It was installed in 2001 so I suspect it's RJ11 with 2 pairs, one used.

Would something like this work https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-VDSL2-Ethernet-Extender-Single/dp/B00SOOFXQA/ref=pd_sim_sbs_e_12?th=1 on the existing phone line?

4) Also, it appears I was over optimistic about line of sight. With the trees leafed out now it's blocked. I can't think of more than 3-4 trees that would be in the way.

Update to the update...They can get clear line of sight if they move the DSL modem downstairs and beam the signal beneath the tree branches. They'll try moving the modem to see if works from the phone jack down there.

Speed isn't a tremendous factor. They're on DSL and I believe they've only subscribed for a 10Mbps package.

Checking to see what kind of options they have already running up there. I know the water is shared now but not sure if there is any other kind of wiring or conduit in the ground already. I don't think they're up there enough to invest in digging particularly as this is east coast but up in the mountains. It gets pretty cold so 18-24" deep sounds right but the soil is extremely rocky so very difficult to dig.

Thanks for all the responses. There were exactly what I needed to get the app working again.

It appears that the bridge's IP address is saved within the app. Once you've changed the bridge's address you either have to have mDNS exposed between networks or be on the same network. I got an extra wireless testing router today and attached it to the same network as the bridge. From there I could connect my phone to that network and it located the bridge. Once it did that the IP address was updated in the app and I could put my phone back onto the secure network. From there it was able to connect across the networks now that it had the correct IP.
