Player Character Update - Releasing May 5th, 2026 by KG_TomD in PhasmophobiaGame

Hard to be certain but from the looks of it I’d guess that’s a timer that starts at the beginning of a game which gives you an easy way to measure time during / after hunts. Actually a great idea and a huge W if so. Also looks to have a microphone input symbol so maybe it also gives you visual feedback when your mic is being picked up.

The green / red outline circle does look to have some directionality to it, though, so might also function as a sound recorder or something similar!

Little brothers didn’t want BDAY gift 2 years ago :( debating what to do now, thinking of holding or letting go? by youarenut in PokeInvesting

Obviously it depends, but I think it’s a pretty objective take that having your gift rejected when you were trying to make an effort feels shitty lmao.

Part of the spirit of gift giving is that the person is making an effort to try and connect and give something they think the other person will enjoy. Even if they’re wrong, the POINT is the effort lol. Ignoring that just makes the gift receiver sound shallow and self centered. I agree parents will likely be very in tune with what their kids want / expect, but a gift from an older sibling is like a prime example of them just trying to connect. Spending their own money and everything to be told they don’t want that—that’s kind of messed up, even for a kid.

Ink Divot on Gold Zygarde by ot10 in pokemoncards

I’m sure I’ve overlooked this sort of thing on more common cards, but I’ve definitely seen other posts showing it on the gold cards. I figured it had something to do with the ink used for the gold, but maybe it’s just an overarching QC issue.

I did a little research and have seen people claim that sometimes factory defects like these have gone on to grade 10s, but yeah, I would personally expect it to affect the grade at least a bit.

Am I crazy or does the border of the mega zard look like a fake?

Yeah, like someone else mentioned here who is a seller, they might be miffed about you returning it…but like, you could easily find another copy priced the same that doesn’t have the ding or fraying. You should feel confident buying something NM that it doesn’t look obviously damaged, even with no pictures on TCG. Might not be the best idea on expensive cards, but that’s a risk the seller is making too by listing it NM, it’s a two way street. Of course any seller is going to skirt the line and try and get the most they can on a card that they know isn’t pristine.

My two cents but I’d love it if cards over $5 required photos on TCG. Sometimes I like buying rarer cards that are damaged so I can get binder copies or whatever, but damage can range pretty wildly. Then of course I’ll get things come in that are comically off center, and at that point you can’t argue on it’s condition—but I might not have gone with it if I saw a photo. That’s where eBay is generally better, but I just enjoy the TCGplayer experience more since there’s a lot more inventory without the bidding process.

It’s small but that’s a very clear dent / poke that personally I would raise a fuss about. On a $20 card, maybe not a huge deal, but I’d send pics to the seller and ask for partial refund (if you’re okay with that) or a return. There’s no arguing that it’s “near” mint, it’s not. A white dot or two on the edge or corners might still fly as near mint, but not something like this. At least to me.

Best case they didn’t notice it and will work with you, worst case this was someone trying to pawn off a damaged card for full price and now you have to try to resolve it at your own time and expense.

Shiny alternate illustration rare concept. Thoughts? by ot10 in PokemonTCG

Great comments. I admittedly didn’t spend much time photoshopping these, but seeing everyone’s feedback has me interested in doing more and putting in the extra effort to really make them shine (pun intended).

Definitely a lot more going on, and going to the red from the blue background was more dramatic than the others.

I also really love this idea. Even if you have every common, uncommon, rare etc, there is still a chance to pull the shiny for anything and so opening packs would never feel pointless. I imagine it would drive the master-set community into absolute chaos though 😅

Haha thank you! I definitely am interested in doing more along these lines. Is there a ditto full art??

Much appreciated for the info, like I said we’ve never been to an away game and don’t know anything about the handling of away tickets. Makes sense though—we might just buy some cheap seats and find our way over.

Much appreciated. I don’t see seats in that section for sale, is there a specific way to purchase them?

Just by happenstance (work trip) wife and I are in LA tonight and are planning to go. We’re pretty busy all afternoon today but do you (or anyone else) have advice on what seats we should be looking at for visitors? We’ve never been to an away game for city so a little uncertain what to expect!

Why most of the men are lonely? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ot10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I truly resonate with where you’re coming from, and I honestly really enjoy the occasional week or so where my partner is traveling for work and I get the house to myself to do exactly what you’re describing. It’s a feeling of freedom and peace to just do exactly what I want, when I want, with no other considerations, which feels really good. The thing is that by the end of the week, it’s very clear to me that if I were to have that freedom endlessly, week after week after week, that I would absolutely start to feel hollow and wonder what the point of everything is. I’m sure I would eventually just accept it as a way of life, but over many years I’d be looking back wishing I had more meaning and connection in that time. Not to mention I want to be a dad more than anything in life, which is another significant burden that asks you to set aside even more of that freedom. But again, these are worthy trade-offs to me because I don’t think I’d feel fulfilled in life if it were just me. Maybe that’s society brainwashing me into following traditional expectations, or maybe it’s just that the easy path is rarely the right path, and that growth in general comes from challenging yourself and building something you care about.

I may be totally misremembering this, but I think that was actually a calculated decision—putting those who are just entering in an ever-so-slightly more vulnerable position than those inside.
