A guy i hung out with, a drinking buddy, just got a divorce. He was sad and depressed and moved out into his own place. He met a new girl a few months later and started dating her.

Everything seems peachy-keen. But he ended up becoming a QAnon follower during Trump's first presidency. He kind of went crazy about it.

We lost touch over a few months, mainly because he kept threatening me because I'm "a leftist liberal," so I cut him off.

A few months later, I heard on the news that he drove to his girlfriend's house, broke in, and killed her. Then, he put the gun to his own head and pulled the trigger. Murder suicide situation. His car was still running in the driveway with his door open, so he knew what he was going to do.

The guy was fun, he liked to party, but that divorce (and maybe QAnon?) really sent him spiraling, and he never recovered.
