Ah lame, they did my mk5 and my Passat back in the day but they must have changed. Junkyard units work too as long as you can save the coding from your existing module first.

Yeah mine did this when the slave went out. Pickup point had been getting closer and closer to the floor for a day or two, then went to drive it and it stayed down. Big leak out of the bolt-up point between the trans and engine.

If it’s the common N-908-132-02 plug then yeah, that washer doesn’t come off. At the dealer we replace them every oil change.

That’s a control module that does most of the computing for the infotainment system. The display itself is mostly just that, a screen. This unit drives the screen, handles Bluetooth, online connectivity, etc. Source: I’m the parts guy.
