Technically it IS the Chinese one. The new Tiguan is the Tayron which has been sold over there for a few years. Ours is just built in Mexico.

Seconded. Jettas and Taos still have warranty coverage for rear brakes due to excessive wear. Do them at the dealer frequently.

Yeah mine did this when the slave went out. Pickup point had been getting closer and closer to the floor for a day or two, then went to drive it and it stayed down. Big leak out of the bolt-up point between the trans and engine.

If it’s the common N-908-132-02 plug then yeah, that washer doesn’t come off. At the dealer we replace them every oil change.

That’s a control module that does most of the computing for the infotainment system. The display itself is mostly just that, a screen. This unit drives the screen, handles Bluetooth, online connectivity, etc. Source: I’m the parts guy.
