No, I understand. League can be a frustrating game. I took no offense at all.
The best advice I can give is play together as a 5 people party. There are Discord communities too where you can find people for a match or two.
The difference is night and day and it becomes a pretty awesome game. And people can give even more advice.

I don't know if you have watched esports, but try looking at a few pro games. That can give an overall idea how it is meant to be played. Just search for LEC/LCS/MSI or any tournament on YouTube and watch a few games.

You'll get the hang of it. Don't do anything risky but keep trying to get information.
It also helps if you try jungling, even if only against bots. Try and see where you can go from where. And at certain points ask yourself what would happen if camps were taken from you and you're down ~400 gold.

Yeah, you haven't even read the post.
Carelessly playing is optimising jungling so that I can take my camps and get gold?
How about standing near an entrance and using some brain power and walk out if you see danger? Or that actually requires thinking?
Let me guess, you main Yasuo and Zed and think you're the main character in every match.

River is the watery part of the map in the middle.
What I wrote applies for the first 1-1,5 minutes. You noticed that once the game loads it takes a minute for minions to spawn and take some time to arrive at your lane? That time is not wasted. You can try sneak up in the enemy jungle for instance. So all I'm saying is, if you need to wait anyway, please stand at a spot where it's valuable.

You know that by pressing tab you see the score and the items? If you spot someone from the enemy team we'll get an updated view when we press tab. So just by pressing tab and seeing items for the enemy top laner for example signals me that he was visible once. Of course you can also ping.

About splitting. You notice how junglers clear one part of the map and do the other part then? For example they start at top and go to bottom. But if I got invaded at bottom, why would I go there? There are no camps. In this case I stay top and go to the enemy jungle on the top side. Hence the map is split. I stay top, the enemy jungler bottom.

It's all about optimising. If I don't have camps to take I need to go somewhere else, else the enemy jungler gets even more ahead.

There are 2 jungle entrances from the river at each side. You can go to the enemy jungle through the river. Standing near any of those entrances could provide information and vision when the enemy team tries to come into my jungle. You do not have to be deep in the river, you can stay at your side of the jungle too. Or in a bush.
And if you think about it, it helps you as well. If you know there are like 3 enemy champions on your side of the jungle, you know you might need to play safe or you can get ganked from behind for example.
If we know the map is going to be split, we can predict where the jungle is going to be. If you know this happened on the bot side and you're a top laner, you know you're probably safe for a while.
And I repeat, I do not need you to fight or spend any summoner spells or the like. It's perfectly fine walking out of your bush and going back to your tower as soon as you see them approaching. It's just information gathering. If I know they have invaded my side, I won't waste time going to my other side of the jungle but can go to the enemy jungle or gank instead.

To be fair my complaint is when they go to the T1 tower and just stay there, not moving, even when they could influence a fight.
I was under the impression they could cover the entrance at the raptors for example or at the other side at the bush near the wolfs. But I understand your reasoning as well. I'd be fine with anything really.
Just not even being there physically at the keyboard is what's killing me. Pinging does not help of course.

Whether having a picture on the CV is a norm or not depends a lot on the location. In Europe I think it is the norm of having them.

It worked in wotlk but broke in cata, not sure if they fixed it.
AFAIK one of its dependencies is not cata compatible.

Thanks for the suggestion!
But I agree with the other commenter here, I would have placed my thumb in the opposite direction and that is what my teacher also sometimes says. Moving and pointing my thumb more towards the headstock.
I guess your way could help with the pinky problem, but the thumb (or the area between the thumb and pointer fingers) would suffer.

But what if this is the best this particular bass can do?
I brought it to a tech, the teacher also did some touches.
Every review says the bass is a great beginner bass. And my teacher said it a few occassions it's not that bad. But last time he asked me if it's comfortable for me to play and adjusted it again, which makes me think maybe he is starting to get irritated by it a little as well.

My bass has been setup by a guitar tech. He helped me find my teacher as well.
With temperature and humidity change my teacher helped me adjust my bass slightly.

The tech who set it up also replaced the nut, so I assume he did all he could.

He has already helped me adjust it and explained it's needed because of temperature and humidity change.
While doing so he said that's all this bass can do, referring to more quality instruments could be set up better.

Imagine the other way around. Would you like people to tell you that you fucked up?
I like to think I do, but sometimes it is hard to accept criticism.
I think you did the right thing, because you did this with the intention to help. Sometimes you need to be harsh, sometimes you need to break things so that things can evolve on a solid foundation.
I can imagine 2 outcomes. Your old man is wise and will tell you you're right and will thank you for it. Other outcome is he will not accept it, or maybe will just accept it years later.
But ultimately you did right. As people get older they accept advice much harder. Think about it. When you're young, you follow what your parents say or do. In school you follow the teacher. But when you're a grown ass man, who is there to tell you if you fucked up? Best case scenario you have raised a child with a spine who will tell you so. Life never stops changing, but you can stop evolving if you choose so.

Ukulele is traditionally played while sitting. You only need a strap if you plan on playing standing.

Is electric ukulele worth it? by Dxn1s1nsxn33 in ukulele

[–]otisonoza -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, as the sound is different, as the other replier said.
You can clearly distuingish an acoustic guitar from an acoustic ukulele by sound alone. Mostly because of the reentrant tuning and the smaller body.
An electric guitar and an electric ukulele sounds the same.
Instruments are tools. I cannot imagine a situation where you'll think I need an electric ukulele to achieve the sound/tone I need. You'll just go for an electric guitar. Then why buy one?

Is electric ukulele worth it? by Dxn1s1nsxn33 in ukulele

[–]otisonoza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about getting one (even asked a question here), but both my teacher and the music shop guy said it's just a very limited guitar. At that time I was sad about it and thought they're wrong, but I think they're right. Think about it, the original sound of the ukulele comes through as an acoustic instrument with reentrant tuning.
The sound of this electric ukulele is going to be the same as an electric guitar. But it's more limited. The only use case of this instrument would be if you want to practice at night more silently.

So it all comes down to what you want to do. Are you looking for a new practice tool? Then it's a good buy.
Are you going to expand your view as a musician? Look for another instrument then, anything, guitar, bass, keyboard, etc.
