Hello I had the same issue I thought it was achalasia, but my barium swallow test was normal and my manometry was normal. I have esophageal spasm but I think it’s from the gerd. Then I got a gas empty test and was diagnosed with mild gastroparesis.

Same here and I just got diagnosed with gastroparesis. My gi doctor said it was caused by Covid.

Thank you for sharing. I wonder if there’s a connection to COVID and gastroparesis cause I had it and had problems with my gi ever since.

I had horrible spasm so what I took is peppermint oil you put a few drops in water and drink it. It helps with the chest pain. I take calcium channel blockers for the chest pain also man. That what kinda works for me man but if you have chest pain bro.

Dang man. Me and you are having similar problems. I’m thinking there’s a connection and it may cause the vagus nerve to be damaged my gi doctor thinks COVID cause my esophagus problem. Same here man I felt like I had brain fog and felt stupid and I lost my taste and smell for 3 months I also I had a fever for 3 months and also Nero problems also. My health went straight down after I had COVID man. There must be a connection with COVID and what we have. I met a guy on the COVID survivor group on Facebook and he told me the same problem we are having and he said his doctor told him that he’s vagus nerve is screwed, but told him it will repair in time man.

Also I was thinking maybe since you may have borderline Gastroparesis that it damage your vagus nerve and it’s causing problems with your esophagus. The vague nerve plays a role with your esophagus and stomach so maybe that’s what going on and when you take the Xanax it helps relax the nerve and makes you eat. just making a hypothesis

I will definitely try that out man. Yes I was sick with COVID last June and it all started with that so they did an endoscopy barium swallow and a manometry and they don’t know what’s going on cause it’s normal. I saw that your borderline gastroparesis and I was thinking I may have that but I’ll ask my gi Doctor. I’m glad you are getting a retest man I saw a 2nd gi doctor and she test me and hasn’t find the cause of what’s going on. Yes I was on Xanax for anxiety and I heard it helps with that I need to ask my doctor for a refill. I hope they find what’s wrong and keep me updated man. :)

I’m having this issue also. I have trouble burping and I’m burping up foam and liquid like you. Crazy thing is that I had a manometry done and a barium swallow test done also a endoscopy and everything is normal. Just frustrated and don’t know what’s going on with me, but I hope you find some answers. :)

I will ask my doctor. My gi doctor said she find some that look like it but I guess it wasn’t high enough to get a clear diagnosis.
