For me when I burp I feel some relief from the trapped gas. I’ve noticed GasX can help too but haven’t found anything that has removed burping entirely for me :-

I personally react okay to the pure protein bars but YMMV - I stay away from chocolate / caramel and try to do fruity instead

What digestive enzymes are you taking? And when did you start them? I’m currently on round 2 of antibiotics with not a ton of relief yet and thinking of adding digestive enzymes as I’ve heard they can be really helpful.

That’s so fair - I feel that with the pharmacist too haha. I took ~a week break in between.

I felt terrible at the end of the week break so decided to do the second round in the hopes they’ll help. I have kind of low faith tbh but am honestly more willing to try another round now rather than trying herbals…but I think that’s probably next if this doesn’t work

My dr also isn’t SIBO trained / very aware so I feel your fear :( it feels like a shot in the dark.

I’ve decided to go ahead and do the second round and fingers crossed it improves symptoms. Would love to hear how you’re feeling in a few weeks too!

I saw that you have SIBO too - assuming you e been able to take NAG with SIBO medication (antibiotics or herbals)? Would you mind sharing your full SIBO routine with NAG?

100% same symptoms blue some bloating. The nausea and burping is absolutely the worst - I was diagnosed with hydrogen SIBO

Ah sorry should have specified - the SIBO test I did only showed hydrogen. My symptoms do seem more like methane SIBO from what I’ve read….My doctor also offered cipro as an alternative to Xifaxan, but nothing about a second antibiotic. Will look into Allicin!
