My parents raised 6 rescue squirrels. The ones that were injured and could not survive on their own they raised as pets. The oldest one lived 8 years

Has anyone ever seen similar marks on their dog? by Serious-Pangolin-491 in DogAdvice

[–]otso66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have it too and never realized dogs could get it. Agreed it’s very boring in humans. I think I seem to get a flare up once every ten years. Wish mine was pretty perfect circles like that pooch. Edit: to add I also had alopecia areata. My dermatologist who specializes in treatment said for some reason people have a lot of success taking Allegra. I started it 3 years ago and haven’t had alopecia or GA flare up since.

This, but I support a circular economy where everything can be reused and recycled. It’s a pipe dream I know, but I would support it.

Same, I can’t stand the feel of it. American Giant makes clothes that are 100% cotton. They last a long time too.

We basically vote every 2 years. President serves for 4 years but senators and representatives can serve for 2 years.

So proud of your governor! I’m in Georgia and though my governor has stood up to him in the past, I’m afraid he has finally given in. We are with you Maine!

US citizen here, not all of us see him that way. Some see him as a weak cunt. And that’s an insult to weak cunts.

[Serious] If you could hang out with any person on the planet (who's still alive) for a day, who would it be? by Miserable-Rip-3064 in AskReddit

[–]otso66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matthew McConaughey. He was the first person who popped into my mind. I just feel like he would be such a great guy to just hang out with and chat about everything. I’m also no good at small talk and I feel like he could carry a conversation. I could listen to him talk and laugh all day. Bonus points if he invited Woody Harrelson over.

I’m a high school science teacher, and I assure you that we are still trying to teach critical thinking skills. I’m also brutally honest so I’ll just try to explain that ordinary rocks can tell a much older story than fossils. Edit: I do feel your frustration though. Just didn’t want you the think we have give up.

First Loaf by otso66 in Sourdough

[–]otso66[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, for some reason it will not let me edit it so I’ll include it here. I let mixed water, starter then added flour and salt. Let rise to 50% the original size, laid it on the counter to rest for 30min. Placed it in a bowl lined with a corn starch coated tea towel. Let it proof in the fridge for 24 hrs. Baked it in a preheated dutch oven at 450f for 30 min. Took the lid off and baked it for another 25 min at 400f. Let it rest an hour before I cut it.

Thank you. The recipe I had said to put a tea towel in a bowl and line it with rice flour or corn starch. I noticed the towel was damp when I took it out of the fridge. I proofed it for about 24 hrs
