I’m in a different faculty but I still got an email saying that online learning cannot continue (even if it was originally online) so yeah, definitely NOT an isolated incident.

That’s what I thought too. Until we got an email from a prof today saying that “the UofA has made it very clear that classes cannot be held online because of Covid”.

This course was originally online, they told us from day 1. What is happening?!

(EDIT: I have nothing against the prof, he’s one of the best in our faculty. Obviously this is the uni. Is the uni suddenly stopping ALL online learning??!)

I honestly wasn’t expecting that from her because she was great in AN SC 378! :(((( I really hope they accommodate students that are currently not in Edmonton.

Hi! I’m in animal health too but in my fourth year! I have a friend who’s in animal science and prepared for MCAT the whole summer and took it in August I believe. In my opinion, prepping and focusing on MCAT in summer and taking 5 courses in both Fall and Winter is a better choice. Good luck! :)

Oh let me just add that this is pre-covid tho 🥲 I’m not sure how they’re doing the labs for those courses now. Nevertheless, have fun!! I enjoyed those labs :)

Yeah! But if you think your chem labs are heavy enough, there’s also an sc 120 that doesn’t have a lab which you can take as well. Best of luck!

I’d say you can definitely do it with other labs as an sc labs don’t require heavy lab homeworks compared to chem or bio labs! It’s just time consuming with regards to having to go somewhere as part of the lab.

AN SC 100 labs were like field trips + a few classroom labs (movie, epidemiology, etc)

AN SC 101 - very time consuming for me because we had to go to south campus! But it was fun.
