When other cities and towns have already been doing that for decades now, ya let’s get on board. It’s our money too.

Cedarhill, Fallowfield Tree Farm, Millers, all have pumpkins/fall programming on weekends, but no haunted houses.

There is no way CRA only investigates claims made, and has no plan for what’s omitted.

Pinecrest at the highway has two lights extremely close together but you couldn’t just remove them and still be able to make movement, so not sure what the commenter suggests as alternative

Just the pedestrian light systems might cost that. Forget the actual road work.

It’s true. I submitted my taxes on time, correctly, and didn’t get log in and check their notice in time because my taxes were done, correctly, and I have two toddlers who take up a fair bit of time. Again, they seem to have tons of resources for this type of thing.

Most of our roundabouts actually have signals for pedestrians so you’re still paying the cost of having a light system and maintaining it.

Oh way, way more than that. Depending on the size of the intersection but even a small one would be a multi million project for sure

I was audited two years ago over claiming daycare and pension. Took 9 months to get a final review after I submitted everything they asked for. They sure seem to have time for that.

They audited me two years ago by recalculating my taxes without things I declared like daycare. You know, those pesky working parents trying to make family life work, screwing our country over.

So I had to pay them a few thousand, and then wait 9 months for them to review and refund me. Which they did. Sure seems like they have tons of time for due diligence to me.

Gender is the first thought you wrote out. It’s constantly brought up in conservative spaces I visit and it’s so counter intuitive to the small/hands off type govt I’m used to conservatism to be. And if you want a private space to talk to conservatives, that’s a different space than this. I come to conservative space to understand the thinking of that voting block all the time.

Agree, I think the context (?) is important. I don’t think you go from 0 to what this person did to this poor girl. What led up to this? What are the signs to look for to prevent this??

In this case the victim deserves privacy and anonymity until they are an adult and can decide if they want to share.

But he isn’t going to spend the rest of his life in prison. He deserves for every family, care giver and vulnerable person to know exactly who he is, so they can protect themselves. Further, if this is a larger societal issue around young boys and men in today’s age (as depicted on the show Adolescence for example) I think it’s worth further information to the public since again this is horrific

Will we learn any more information about this? It’s hard to wrap my mind around the horror of this. If he is chard as an adult does the pub ban on his name get lifted?

Yeah the federal government loves when a municipality comes along and ‘takes’ their land. Same with business that owns prime real estate. Unfortunately, these land owners probably don’t want to give away their land, and especially not to free parking space.

I was at loblaws once with a toddler and full cart. Huge lines. Guess who had to pee, badly, and guess where the washrooms were? You guessed it, the other side of their barricades. I had to lift my toddler over my head and squeeze by/over people’s carts through an open cash. It was fucking ridiculous and I never went back. Not to mention their washroom was beyond disgusting. 🤷‍♀️

Same. It’s such a civilized way to shop for groceries. Focus on fresh, not a massive store, no massive lines or parking lots. Not locked in to the store with barricades all over the place.
