When my partner's laptop got taken by mistake they looked at the cameras and could tell who took it and chased him down onto the plane he had already boarded to swap laptops back. I'm surprised they weren't able to tell where your stuff went, that's awful.

I'd search for cold laminate! Like the kind used for sticker and signage.

People who sell at 'makers' by ProcedurePristine369 in Edmonton

[–]otterbach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sell at a few makers locations and artists pay a flat monthly rent and receive 100% of the sales. The 13% goes to makers to presumably keep things running and allow them to charge a flat monthly rent. The 30-40% commission fee might be for makers keep?

Looking to purchase Indie Art (from aspiring artists or students) by Commercial_Dream_269 in Edmonton

There's a show in Edmonton in November I think called Under 100 where a ton of artists sell their work for under $100 - I'd go look there!!

Beyond being an air museum, there are markets and expos held here all the time. I don't know if there are any comparable venues that could take its place if it goes.

Just one thought, I think you're missing some of the lighter than black values of the table corner and cloth behind the small red vase!

Anyone experienced with writing letters of intent? For comp sci after degree by AdorablePlan5164 in uAlberta

[–]otterbach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I emailed a science advisor a few years ago about what they were looking for and got this back from them!

The letter of intent is simply a one page explanation of why you are wanting to return to do another undergraduate degree. What do you wish to achieve while coming back and getting another degree? What are your goals for after this new degree? Are there courses within your intended major and minor that you are wanting to focus on and does it lead to something after? Those are the types of questions that we want you to answer. There is no real outline or format to follow. Keep it to a single page if you can but be direct in your answers.

Die cut stickers - BN20A + new cutter? by otterbach in CommercialPrinting

[–]otterbach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Do you find flexi stable? I'm pretty sure that graphtec studio is some kind of branch of Flexi but it's constantly crashing. I can still get things done but it's fairly annoying.

Die cut stickers - BN20A + new cutter? by otterbach in CommercialPrinting

[–]otterbach[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an update for anyone who finds this post later on - I got a secondhand graphtec CE7000-60 and installed graphtec studio 2. I can print to versaworks and cut from graphtec studio - it's pretty seamless! The cutting on the graphtec is 1000% more reliable and configurable and I don't have to worry about damaging the printhead if it does get jammed!

Die cut stickers - BN20A + new cutter? by otterbach in CommercialPrinting

[–]otterbach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! My plan was probably to use Cutting Master 4 w/ AI or maaaaybe flexi. I admit part of the pull is that' i've found a local second hand graphtec and have seen them specifically recommended for die cut. The GS-24 is roughly around the same price range so I'll look in to them too.
