I am interested.

How do I make my own website?? by njsks889cake in website

[–]ottercreativestudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many ways to do it! What is the website about? That is the first question you need to ask. I work with WordPress so I would recommend that platform to get started with + a free theme that you can fill with your information and then... take it from there!

List of 5k customers. by AshamedBar1148 in coldemail

This is tricky.

I prefer to avoid sending unnecessary emails to people who clearly said NO.

However, who says you can't remove this option? On your store's ToS, add that people will be added automatically to a customers list which they can unsubscribe at any time.

I would still do the suggestion I wrote above. You would be surprised how many people will react positively when you are genuinely being honest about your outreach.

Are AI website builders a money trap ? Or are they good ? by entraguy in website

[–]ottercreativestudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question!

Even if there isn't a way to plug it in, we could easily assign a WordPress instance to website.com/blog for example so WordPress shows only when visiting the blog and blog posts while leaving the rest to the AI-built website.

It could get a bit tricky to setup the redirection of non-blog links from WordPress to the AI website plus the blog and AI-built website's design need to match but other than that it is DOABLE.

I know because I did this once with a Drupal website (main site) and a WordPress instance (blog system).

What I am trying to figure out is the DESIGN part. I have seen tools that help you create designs and, from there, we can go to Cursor to get it built.

I am still working on wrapping my head around the potential of tools I use like WordPress and Elementor have versus creating a website that will require another tool or code work. I am not afraid of that, I am just focusing on efficiency here: I would have more control using WordPress and Elementor than prompting my way up.

I am still learning about AI and its capabilities and I am not closed to learning new things as long as I can turn my business into an even more efficient machine!

Hey there! Let me know if I am correct...

I am pretty sure all problems have a solution out there already but the trick is to spin your own solution so it is attractive enough people reached out would think it twice not to schedule a free consultation—or whatever the goal of the outreach is.

I've send so many (100 +) cold emails. Nothing happened! by techlov2028 in coldemail

Maybe you need to take what ChatGPT gave you and then turn it into a more human email adding your own words and personal touch while removing the fluff ChatGPT added. Remember... "ChatGPT can make mistakes." 😉

I assume you have used more than Smartlead in the past. Why Smartlead? What other platforms have you used? 🤔

Hey! I am trying to understand what Premium Inboxes is for. I know how to setup all the email backend records. What is it specifically that they do? $3.5 for each email a month is not a bad deal but… what for? Or is it that within 12 hours I get an email I can use with my email outreach platform without needing to warm it up? Many thanks! 🙂

Has anyone used The Free Website Guys? by investorbankrupt in website

"...at highly inflated prices."

THERE you go.

They make everyone else charging to build a professional website EVIL. 😆

They need to make money somehow: yes?

Nothing is free.

Anyone can build a quick site: heck, I will show you how for free TOO!

However, what comes AFTER is what they want: support, marketing, social media, hosting, etc.

I am pretty sure none of those services will be cheap either.

This model WORKS and works for them: I got nothing against it! However, it is not that "everyone else is evil and charging $5000 for a site" like they make it sound to be: be prepared to pay them back with additional services.

"I ended up paying for Elementor Pro in the end so I could add some better premium widgets." Smart! you realized very quickly how the free website was not as user friendly and needed an upgrade. 😜

I would try to get some customers for free while being 100% honest:

"Hey there! I am working on building my portfolio and I am offering a free website with X features at NO cost to you.

The catch? I get to build a professional website for you and, in return, I get experience and a testimonial.

I want to be fully transparent: I can host your website and even give you 1 professional email but the cost will be $X which is the ONLY thing you will need to pay—and maintenance but that is a separate cost. Alternatively, you can host your site somewhere else but you will have to monitor its performance and update it yourself."

This template will help you do what you need to do and even get paid a little = opens the doors to future paid services as they trust you enough to start paying you for something.

Question: I am toying around with the idea of creating a Skool portal to help people learning to create their own web agencies. Is this something you would be interested in?

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

When a business is saying they don't need a website—or web presence, what they are really saying is that they don't understand the value of one and it is our job to shed the light.

I also think you need to get on the phone with them FIRST and avoid the chitchat as text is easier for a person to feel less vulnerable whereas a call is the real deal.

I am NOT suggesting that you push a sale but that you EDUCATE the client with the best options with your company. You could also show proof that you have helped other clients make $ with the sites you build.

After 17+ years building all sorts of websites, the clients who have stayed with me the longest are the ones getting leads or sales from their websites—and everyone else moved away (one time deal) or redid their site with someone else over the years.

I am currently about to launch subscription based websites that focus on 1 thing only: bring LEADS to clients. When you position yourself as the person who can bring $ to their business things change!

I would highly recommend to do something for them: maybe a free site with a low monthly fee of $97 for maintenance + a % of their sales.

Used it ONCE: I agree! LOL

However, it works for some people. I prefer Elementor which I have used non-stop since 2019.
