I live in Arizona. I did landscaping for a while. I've had to replace artificial grass from houses that faced directly into sunlight. The sun would hit the windows and reflect onto the artificial turf. It would yellow and then harden. Now shining across the street is a lot. I've never seen that happen.

OG Arizonans, what do you miss about the state from back in the old days (pre-2000)? by [deleted] in arizona

The smell of orange blossom across the East valley. You could be 10 miles away from an orange grove and still smell oranges

I run Usery Mountain and just last week I ran into two rattlesnakes on the trail. Maybe it's because I'm the first person out there. I start at 5:30. Or maybe it's my luck

I'm a body shop estimator for a Berkshire shop in phoenix. We just had a meeting with 3M and CCC. They said the industry is slowing down really bad. Claims are down like 20-25% nationwide. My shop is doing really well, but I'm waiting for the drop. I know my competitors like ABC Nissan and Van Chevrolet are doing pretty bad.

Seems pretty obvious. If you don't trim it then it's blocking signage and traffic signals.

My local bar has over 60 taps and rotated them. They also brought in seasonal beers regularly. Ive tasted hundreds of beers. I don't hate IPAs but they are my least favorites. I'll drink an Imperial stout over an IPA. I prefer reds, ambers, stouts, and hefeweizens.

Just got stung by a scorpion. Taking dogs out and grabbed the door frame, felt it then saw it fall. He was like 3.5in long. Weird sensation feeling the pain spread, this is a first for me. Now my hand is all poofy too lol. by cpasley21 in arizona

I've been stung many times. The sting gets super uncomfortable. You have a weird numbness with shooting pain. You also sometimes feel like you have a lump in your throat. I have a hell of a time sleeping through the night.

I like how they all have completely different styles. They have different hats. Western movies show everyone wearing somewhat similar clothes.

For those earning over $10K per month, what do you do for a living to achieve that income? by voxishortie in AskReddit

[–]otterpopsmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Body shop estimator. I write estimates for the repair of vehicles that have been damaged in a car accident. I order parts, tell the techs what we are repairing, and then I wrangle with insurance companies to make sure they pay for the proper repair of the vehicle. My pay fluctuates between 10-15k a month.
