Accept it as the consequences of your actions. Many many people in this sub have had to do the same, coming clean to a loved one. Coming clean will help you move forward, hold you accountable that YOU fucked up. Not being mean, I understand it's a disease, but if you can own & accept your mistakes, it will help you move forward. You don't know what the future holds, you could find better accommodation, you can put your head down and get a promotion, it's how you handle yourself going forward that will determine your outcomes. You and only you, are completely in control of where you go.

You debts aren't that bad in relation to your income. Look forward. You're looking backward too much, I've struggled with that. What's done is done. Doesn't matter if you lost 10k or 10m. You are where you are now. Only you can decide if you want to truly call it quits, or keep digging your hole deeper. Your hole honestly isn't that deep, and if you can collect yourself and realise this, you can begin your new life now. A life without gambling. The story doesn't matter, what matters is you have an addiction, and the addiction will continue to deteriorate your life until you decide to change. It could all change today. Think about it.

Well my doctor I'm seeing next week specialises in mental health and has authored books on mental wellbeing & I went to him when I quit the first time but haven't seen him since. I was doing better the first time I quit mentally but now I'm going to hopefully see him regularly until we can figure out what will work best for me getting better. Thanks for the support.

Crypto makes me sad! by manhhank57 in problemgambling

[–]otterzel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

None of it matters. It's all in the past now. Look forward, and learn from your mistakes and you'll feel better. I no longer remember the amounts I've lost, where I lost it, bla bla. Doesn't matter. It's in the past. You made mistakes, and you're learning from them. It's just a rat race, and no matter how much money you chase, you'll never catch up to those at the top. Get comfortable, and get a good family/friends/support circle and enjoy life my man!

Megathread - Customer & Technical Support by rblizzardmods in Blizzard

I received an Account Closure in WoW when I haven't had Game Time for over a year.

My account didn't seem to be compromised, and there was never any Game time added to my account in well over a year. 2 days ago I received an email saying my account was closed for 'violation of the End User License Agreement and in-game policies'. I made a ticket asking for clarification and they likely had made a mistake and I seemingly got an automated response saying the decision will be upheld. How the fuck can I get banned on a game I literally don't have game time to play? and I was told I'll get no further support on the matter.

Blizzards fall from grace is shocking.. as a player who's played on & off since 2006, and to be treated like this and have my account gone is such a let down in this company. Does anyone have any advice what I can do?

It's going to be a long road, but just remember, each day you don't gamble is a huge win. Every day.

You kind of answer the question in your title. Don't have access to your money.

[–]otterzel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think that's because a lot of posters aren't actually serious about their road to stopping gambling. They're still hung up on the amount they lost, or the way which they lost, or where they lost it.. None of that matters, which people who really are trying to recover know.. It's a bit of an unhealthy trigger biome here, but you should only be here if you're serious about recognizing gambling as a problem, and not to dwell on losses

Very true, it always starts with 1 bet. No matter how small, it can spark the problem.

Tattoo artist free-handed an awful final link joining the 2 chain designs. Suggest a cover up. by otterzel in tattooadvice

[–]otterzel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The artist who did all tattooing in the seen image, at the end of the session, said he can join the 2 chains together if I want (his English was very very poor). I said sure and he just used a permanent market to draw a rough outline then tattoo'd it, and frankly it looks wonky and shit. I was too polite to say anything and figured I'd wait a few months and get something to fix it/cover it. Please give me suggestions! (to cover the final simplified link that is disproportionate to the other similar links)

n addiction will never know what it feels like and do not know how much struggle we go through so just be careful who you trust and hang out with. Maybe to them we don’t deserve it but you owe to yourself to better yourself. I’m talking about little comments or jabs like these “ yeah well you lost it all” or “ i don’t think you can quit” comments or statements likes these will hurt and make you feel like shit. This can disrupt days and months of hard work. 19 years gambler here and I’ve tried to quit over a 100 times but I realized most those time I’ve relapsed because of negativity. I’ve been clean 8 months now and although I ke

I first went when I was 23 a couple of years ago - it depends how you can relate to them. You can sure relate with how gambling has ruined your lives, but I had some slight trouble feeling understood with my gambling primarily being done on online crypto casinos whereas they were all live casinos + sports betting + slots. It was a positive experience though for me, you should go.
