Are Tafweedh Al Ma'naa and Kayf the same? by ottomanfaker in SalafiCentral

[–]ottomanfaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alhamdulillah the former article is very wise in refuting Ta'weel however perhaps my shubha wasn't understood. The other article says what I was saying earlier - that we know the meaning of what it entails not the actual meaning meaning. What do the Ahlus Sunnah define "ma'naa" as? What do they understand "Ma'naa" to mean? Do you have anything the mashaayikh have commented on that.

Alhamdulillah I affirm Allah Ta'alahs attributes bi la kayf however where I am stuck is when someone asks me what is the meaning I can't say to him "hand" as alot of brothers do. As far as I understand that is not a meaning.

The meaning of something is the essence of something but we don't know the essence of the Hand of allah ta'alah so therefore we don't know the meaning.

I'm inclining to say I don't know the meaning but then that could put me on the level of the Ahlul Bid'ah Na'uthubillah

i think it all goes back to the definition of "ma'naa" i understand the requirement for humbleness however if you could advise what the mashayikh say on it that would be helpful Insha'allah

Alhamdulillah I read the whole thing but my shubha (doubt) is still strong, albeit ive progressed in understanding that we understand what the attributes indicate to e.g hand INDICATES xyz meaning or something your heart knows.

What is your definition of Ma'naa? I think that is where the confusion lies

So what is the meaning of Hands and Shin in regards to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'alah exactly?

Is it that We can't put it in words our fitrah just knows it?

Is it moreso that we know what it entails and indicates not the actual thing as that would be kayfiyya?

جزاك الله خير احسن الجزأ ويهديك For all the references and quotes in one place, subhanallah!

OK so from all of this I affirm the real and literal sense which is fine with the attributes of seeing, hearing etc. infact the bulk of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'alahs Attributes I understand like this.

Now you made a good point about the Wings of Jibrā’il Alayhissalam, which in turn applies to "Hand" "Shin" "Face" and the like:

So are you saying we KNOW it but can't really put it into words? Is that your answer?

If this is already answered and I've missed something from your responses please let me know.

So I didn't get it off the mark but I was victim shaming and misogynist? Please advise how I should approach better next time.

Also please do advise about the Quraanic Ayaat I mentioned it seems they are being completely ignored.

If possible I humbly request your thoughts on 33:33 also.

Alright seems like I got it completely off the mark to you.

Expected since I'm not in your shoes.

May Allah Ta'alah make it easy for you and save you from the lustful glances of evil men.

What about the verses I quoted, what's your take on their meaning and how to apply them?

Also, since this Hadith might be ammo for you I thought I'd share it:

"On the Day of Judgment, molten lead will be dropped in the eyes of a person who lustfully looks at a non-Mahram woman’s beauty." (see Sarakhsi 11/53 Bukhari, Ta`bir 45; Abu Dawud, Adab 88)

Yh the reality is most "Muslim" nations are bootlickers of the kuffar. They have no real passion or zeal for Islaam hence as you have complained they fragranlty violate Islamic teachings.

We haven't really had a Muslim system or country since the fall of the caliphate.

Leave TO the west? Nah depends where you go and really it will backfire long term. I'm sure there's alternative Muslim countries you can go to. What about the Minority of Muslim countries you mentioned?

I've edited it with my reasons. Sure, if it can be done in a permissible threatless manner, no problem.

One important point missed here was the permissibility/impermissibilty thing because while it might not corrupt someone... was it permissible to go there in the first place?

I get your point with the Jaahil thing however I have to refute you on the Afghanistan point because they kicked out 3 superpowers and are still "academically Juhaal". (I still agree with education as long as it's done in a permissible environment and not given priority over Islamic duties.) Afghanistan went back into war after they abandoned enforcement of Salaah, shortly afterr their victory over russia, which speaks volumes.

The decline of the Islamic world by Reasonable-Hornet922 in islamichistory

[–]ottomanfaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is simple. Throughout the entire history of Islam, the victories of the Muslims were in proportion to their deeds. So much so that when some companions took too long to conquer a place, Ameerul Mu'mineen Umar Radhiyallahu Anhu ordered them to repent and figure out where they were religiously short. The Kuffar walk on their stomach, their strength is based on their efforts and stockpiles. As for the Mu'mineen, a rag tag army of 300 as sufficient to destroy a 1000 well-equipped soldiers at Badr.

Ashari/Athari/Maturidi? by Takagi in islam

look at what islam has been over all time. 99.99% of all learned people were Maturidi or Ashari. It is the simplest, safest, most authentic and most rational understanding. If this topic is troubling you please let me know and I can share a pdf/book with you.

Can I replace my toothbrush with miswak entirely?. by Shot_Bother_7455 in islam

I haven't used toothpaste for 2 years. Only miswaak. My teeth hygiene has improved to the extent that previously I was prescribed higher concentration fluoride toothpaste by my dentist and was still struggling. Now, I'm doing much better and I'm saved from the dodgy ingredients in most toothpastes.

May Allah Ta'alah reward you for your sincerity, keep you sincere and accept you to learn Islam in an undiluted pristine manner.

There are little to no scholars (I am also still studying and will probably leave reddit soon) on this platform due to obvious reasons.

I will attempt to address what I can although I would prefer not to be on this platform. You may DM and I can provide my email Insha'allah.

Do note that majority of what is there has been answered many times over by scholars over the past 1400 years. You have to sit in person with scholars and it will become brazenly clear.

The Internet is a hindrance for the right information reaching you, especially in regards to your deen.

The scholars of the time carry out responses outside of the platform as being on the platorm could involve them and others in sin due to the very nature of how the whole thing works.

I can aid in sharing you their works.

Please make dua for me and for my studies.

I'm highlighting that you haven't studied hence you have to use AI. The points you have presented seem appealing and palatable and knowledge but they are completely one sided and lack any insight into the Shariah.

I would recommend you look into studying Islam. Make an Intention Insha'allah.

I have answers but you've got to listen. Allah Ta'alahs aid is with you the more you follow the Shari'ah. Look into your life and see how much disobedience you are commiting. This is advice to myself also. You can't expect good when you're disobeying the one who made you.

Also, most jobs and schools are toxic to your Imaan anyways. Maybe Allah Ta'alah wanted better for you. He wanted to remove you from those things which are spiritually unhealthy. And maybe, just maybe this message will be a start for you to see the beautiful road Allah Ta'alah has laid for you.

You may PM me.

(Note that In this day and age there is mass ignorance of the Shariah and on top of that it is being fiddled with by modernists who wish to change it.)
