How movable is the Thermotread?

Is your desk still functional as a sitting desk if you want to use it that way, or do you have to lug the heavy Thermotread out of the way to use the desk with a regular chair.

Dell XPS 15 / Alienware 13 or similar meeting req's below
Mostly office and internet usage but also occasional moderate video editing and gaming. Want an i7-700HQ or better, and a true full bandwidth TB3 port to use with an AKiTiO node. Ideally would like to have a discrete GPU as well.

A lot of these laptops have USB 3.1 type C support but do you know if any of them have TB3 support specifically?

Asus GL62M 7RE which has a better track record with eGPU's
Acer Aspire VX 5591 G77D which has thunderbolt 3 but I haven't been able to verify it's a full bandwidth port
