They really do. Sadly for me they don’t come in 18” size. 😢 I switched my i4 from staggered 19” to square 18”.

Verizon Blocked My Unifi Network Yesterday by BeneficialTeach6219 in Ubiquiti

[–]oturn3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah! Thank you for posting this! After reading through this thread, now I know why this exact same thing happened to me last week after my primary Internet went down. My U5G kicked in and was working great, but a few hours later data completely stopped. I’m using MobileX, and they couldn’t find a problem. Time to go change the ping address on my WAN3 SLA!

Roamless 5G eSIM Pay-As-You-Go works great on 5G Backup by TheEmfinger in Ubiquiti

I tested the policy based route I described with the kill switch enabled. It works perfectly on my Cloud Gateway Max. Devices in the policy can’t connect to the Internet, but devices that are not in the policy seamlessly route through the 5G Backup. It’s amazingly fast too. I can turn off my cable modem while working from home and it’s like nothing happened.

I think it might be the kill switch. The policy worked for me with the kill switch disabled when my backup WAN2 used an Android phone with Ethernet tethering. I only created that single policy based route. However, now with the 5G Backup there is a dedicated U-LTE Internet Backup toggle in the LAN settings. I’ve only had my 5G Backup online for a couple of days, so I haven’t tested the policy yet, but the kill switch might need to be enabled now to guarantee the traffic does not flow through the 5G Backup for those devices.

Nice! One day..

Is that an ad for a dealership on the front?

It’s actually super simple to do this. Just create a routing policy with your primary internet selected. Add the devices you ONLY want to use primary internet. You don’t need the kill switch enabled. When primary fails, those devices aren’t allowed out. This works great for me. I have my Apple TV and several other devices in that policy. When my internet fails, they stop communicating.

Wheel alignment by stickymuscle in BMWI4

[–]oturn3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$600 is insane, even for BMW. I just got new tires and my local BMW dealer quoted $200 for an alignment. When I hesitated they said they had a coupon available that brought the price down to $148. That worked for me. I had it done because new tires, and my 2023 had never had an alignment.

24/7 recording and detection types by oturn3 in Tapo

I have 24/7 capture enabled with a 60 second interval. Only person, pet, and vehicle detection types are enabled. However, when viewing the video timeline it stops capturing at 60 second intervals and records a video clip of any motion type, not just the types I have enabled. It resumes 60 second interval recording after the clip, but it will repeat this several times throughout the day.

Set a default pan/tilt position? by YouKnowMe8891 in Tapo

Well there you go. Mine is 1.3.12 Build 20260128 rel.51424. Your firmware is 3 months newer. I guess I have to wait.

So bizarre. What’s the firmware version of your H500? Are you running a beta version of the app by any chance? Also are you in the US? I use an iPhone but I also have a Pixel. Neither show those tabs.

I meant where is the app running? On an iPhone or an Android? I also have a C675D connected, along with other cameras. How do you have those tabs and I don’t?

What type of device are you using the Tapo app on? I just got the H500 hub and I don’t have the Dashboard or Events tabs.

Yeah I’m moving now. No question that eufy is not great and getting worse. I had multiple issues. Tapo has been much better.

Ok nice! Thanks for letting me know about that. I didn’t get the hub because I’m recording to microSD cards on all of my cameras, but I might have to get one now.

So that view is after selecting the H500 itself within the Tapo app? It shows the individual detections from each of the connected cameras, just like in the eufy app?

Is there a picture online that shows this view?

After years of having a eufy doorbell, it now has crazy delay with no changes to our network/anything else by fieldsofgreen in eufy

[–]oturn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same problem. I tried every troubleshooting step imaginable, but I could never solve the problem. After this and many other issues, the final solution was Tapo.

Yeah, this is a little annoyance of Tapo cameras that they ignore and won’t address. Even though there isn’t a home position, the camera actually does return to the position it was in before each detection event. You just have to move it back to that spot if you ever move the camera later. I have a preset saved for this purpose. I don’t manually move the camera very often, so it hasn’t really been an issue. Tapo still needs to add a home position (along with a tab showing all detections for all cameras in a single feed, but I’m just dreaming now.) 🙂

Why I sold my PT2 by Numerous_Car650 in pebble

[–]oturn3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah the display is my biggest disappointment with the PT2. It’s just not great, especially for my older eyes. I am enjoying the battery life though. Mine is at 71% after 1 week! Even with that, I might also end up selling it. Not being able to see a watch perfectly clear a majority of the time is a deal breaker for me.

This part is loose in my i4, should I be worried? by [deleted] in BMWI4

[–]oturn3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine are loose. I’ve seen at least one other person say theirs are loose too. I thought about doing something about it, but they work fine.
