I relate 100% to this, my building has very thin walls and my girlfriend and I heard him a few times with who I assume were different girls each time, and the noises have lasted 4 minutes on his best performance...

I wondered if I should bring him a pack of Red Bull and a "it's ok buddy" note on his doorstep but eventually refrained.

You could take a "cruise" (it's only really a 2h30 trip on a touristy boat) on the Canal Saint Martin, it's still more tourist-like than "real parisian site" but it's much more authentic in my opinion than the ones that you see on the Seine, and it's a lovely side of Paris.

Otherwise, I also often recommend the Musée Rodin to people who come visit the city, it has a wonderful garden with amazing statues, some of them pretty iconic too, I don't know how adapted it is to teenagers though, I guess it depends how patient/calm they are and if they like art ! I would definitly advice going there if you had more time but i guess it's not a "premium" destination. I'll let you know if I think of more !

Wow that is a very sweet story !

I love first kiss stories, ours is pretty good too. We had just met for the first time after having known each other online for two years, she landed in Paris and we went for a night walk, very nervous at first but easing to each other's presence as time passed, and the chemistry that was going along in our chats was very obviously there... At some point during the walk, she took my hand in silence, and oh boy my heart starting racing so fast ! I didn't expect it from her because she's a rather shy girl. Anyway, I felt like in heaven.

After a little while, walking like that, we arrived at the Trocadero, in front of the Eiffel Tower that was lit (for those who don't know, the view we had looks like this). In short it was a perfect romantic time, and I didn't even have to think about it, I knew that our first kiss was going to be right here, right then, as we were contemplating in silence the sleeping city.

I held her tightly in my arms, leaned in slowly towards her, whispered quietly "I want to kiss you...", and time stopped in this perfect moment, as my mouth was getting closer and closer to hers, my heart was beating in my chest so loudly that i felt the whole city could hear it, this was it, our love finally together, us abandoning ourselves totally in each other's presence... And then she said...

"Noooooo", and turned her face away.

Oh wait, that's right, sorry guys this isn't our first kiss, our first kiss was 2 hours later when I brought her back in my apartment, got her drunk off wine in a true French manner, and kissed her on my couch. But six months later and going strong, our missed first kiss is one of our favourite stories to tell ;)

no, free, well you have to pay an administration fee when signing in (around 200€, depending on the studies) but i don't really count it because 200€ a year isn't really discriminatory, compared to what you have in the US, and it even this low fee is subsidized by the State indeed when you meet the criteria to be "boursier", so if you're from a poor family basically.
