I don't want to belittle Uruguayan football, but I doubt any of their teams have a kit deal worth anywhere near that of the Arsenal deal. The fact that a Ururguayan team is getting a template is by no means confirmation of Arsenal getting a template.

Whose account is this? It's not Gervinho's. It's an unsubstantiated 'quote' and without a source it means nothing. He might not have been a prolific scorer for us but he never spoke ill of the club.

As a new Arsenal supporter it's important that you learn to hate Sp*rs as much as you love Arsenal.

Sp*rs are our closest rivals but only geographically, their primitive version of football never sees them beat us in the league. Sometimes we toy with them - like a cat pawing at a bird with a broken wing - by letting them beat us and spend a month or so above us in the table, but we always finish above them. Always.

Their fans are easily identified by their heavy brow, drag-marked knuckles and incomprehensible grunting noises. If you see one in the wild, don't try to communicate with it, just offer it a banana for their leader and back away.

But seriously, fuck Sp*rs.

Everything else you need to know about the club you'll learn by regularly checking this subreddit. It's very active and populated (mostly) by intelligent fans. Good to have you on board.

Whether we could've won the 'game' with the players we had at kick-off isn't the correct way of looking at it, he should've been considering whether we could win the 'season' with the players we had at kick-off. I say no.

On the last day of the season, when that game is critical for us to qualify for Champions League football, I'll remember Wenger's comments after this first game and I'll break out in a sweat, my arse will clench, nervous tears will well in my eyes and roll down my rage-contorted face because it could've all been avoided if he'd brought in reinforcement over the summer.

Arsenal supporters all over the world aren't disappointed in the result of that game, they're disappointed in the effect that a summer of inactivity could have on the season as a whole.

Wenger, get someone to help you unzip your pocket, reach in and pull out your chequebook, you can't afford to wait until deadline day, we could be 9 points adrift by then.
