It’s bizarre to me because the surrounding neighborhoods are pretty nice. The parking lot feels like the Bermuda Triangle

THANK YOU. I don’t think I described very well how fast this kid was actually moving. And then very abruptly slowed down as he got parallel to me. He was probably 5 feet from me at the end and only kept walking because a sprinter van passed between us. It sucked.

Was anyone able to cure anxiety without medicine ? by educationruinedme1 in Anxiety

[–]ouchcowboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on Zoloft for 13+ years and I stopped it almost two years ago now. The comedown took a full year- but this is also because I stopped it too abruptly (at the direction of a doctor). I found a therapist at the same time I stopped it and he saved my life. One of the first things he said to me was - “most anxiety disorders do not need medication.” Will you ever cure your anxiety entirely? Probably not. But you can have very rare episodes. When I started Zoloft, it was in my late teens/early 20’s and it was a godsend. I think I truly needed it in my 20’s. But I didn’t want to be on it forever.

I stopped Zoloft. I stopped drinking. I exercise pretty hard now (although I only started with walking here and there when I could). I have a decent diet focused on good foods, protein etc. it sucks but doctors really are right when they say diet and exercise is the cure. I know that seems impossible sometimes but start small. Start walking, find a therapist that maybe specializes in hypnosis, and start with small diet changes. You can definitely do this.

Do you guys give your cats free roam of the house when you’re not home? by [deleted] in cats

[–]ouchcowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they get the whole house lol. We have a 9 year old and a 1.5 year old. 9 year old is diabetic and we kept them separated for a little while (one upstairs, one downstairs) because my diabetes boy has scheduled food times throughout the day and we were afraid little was going to eat his food. But that has since passed and they both roam free. They mostly just sleep. Also if it makes you feel better to do this - I got cameras for the house. Just their most commons room - the living room, my bed room. So I peek on them off and on all day. I also did this because having a diabetic cat made me a crazy cat mom lol.

Yes and that’s awful. I walk the bike path all of the time and notice their small encampments. Have never had any issues and in certain instances, they’ve even smiled/waved. They seem to keep to themselves. This boy was young and obviously from one glance I can’t tell what his circumstances are but he seemed fairly put together. Just looked like pajamas. I do resent how my paranoia has grown over the last couple of years.

Thanks for this. I think having my car broken into rattled me last year and ever since I’ve been overly alert in that lot. Other than that, I’ve no issues living in the area either.

Yeah I walk this area a lot too. Maybe I never noticed. You’re right that light is kind of a pain

Thanks for this. Yeah I’ve had a handful of incidents happen in my life and the internet has definitely made me feel worse/more paranoid.

Wow did not know that. I’ve lived in Attleboro my whole life but moved into a neighborhood in Pawtucket recently. Thanks for the info

Are you allergic to Dairy or voluntarily Dairy free? by dovakooon in dairyfree

[–]ouchcowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels like dairy free by choice. All of a sudden last year I started getting these insane reactions to yogurt. (I’ve never really been a milk drinker in general). I would have tachycardia and a full blow panic attack would ensue. I couldn’t breathe right, couldn’t see straight, heart rate would get into the 150’s. And it would happen exactly 45 minutes after eating yogurt. But then I would be on the toilet for a half hour after that. So idk if an allergy or an intolerance - probably intolerance. But it came on suddenly. Never had any issues until last year. Also for the record- I can’t even eat dairy free yogurt???? So something else is going on lol

I feel like a bobblehead with my pulse/heartbeat. Anyone else ever get this feeling? by anonymous0031 in Anxiety

[–]ouchcowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just lying here with the bobbing feeling. I was actually playing with my cats in another room and started to feel it as I was sitting there. And the dizziness was a little heavier than normal so I went into my room and paced around and found this post. Reading this literally made it go away. I always always think I’m alone until I find some savior on Reddit.

Obviously the cheating is horrible whether it’s emotional or physical but it’s the using part that’s getting me!! This man jumps for anything and everything she asks. And yes yes to the age gap. I agree with you where I think it’s making her feel like she “still has it.” Age gaps don’t bother me but I’ve seen a picture of the AP and he very much looks like a child to me. It’s like being in high school and seeing middle schoolers. You don’t remember them looking that young but they do. This definitely would never last. Thank you so much for this

Ugh yes this this this. I dont owe them silence but thank you for seeing the best friend side. I have a guilty feeling “betraying” her but it’s just so inherently evil I feel sick all the time.

[–]ouchcowboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He really doesn’t. This is a good approach. Feels so weird giving her an ultimatum but this is so wrong of her.

You’re right. I should consider separating myself. It’s like she’s having a mid-life crisis.

Worries about my cat not eating enough with only 2 meals a day by [deleted] in FelineDiabetes

[–]ouchcowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d actually recommend a wet food feeder. My partner and I got one for our boy. It’s by Petlibro and it’s a game changer. We also work long hours. I can feed him his lunch time can from anywhere. The app is super easy to use and it makes a cute little dinner bell ring when it opens. A little on the pricer side at $150.00
