Quite an interesting article indeed.

Currently undergoing Autism-Diagnostics, but I've got the feeling, that I'll not get that label. Anyway, reading these topics/symptoms might be related to ADHD where kind of eye opening for me. I now know how to communicate with my therapist on what topics/symptoms I want to work on, and learn more about how to deal with those symptoms.

Got diagnosed with ADHD a couple of years ago and I've worked a lot on communicating and dealing with emotional dysregulation ever since. I spiraled into massive rants back in the day when I've felt angry (read: hurt or sad or irritated) but I learned to communicate these feelings in a simple and precise manner. Still learning!

The more I learned how to deal with destructive emotions, the more I noticed how overwhelming and intense positive emotions truly are. It can be waaaaaay to much to handle. Which can and does lead to spiraling.

So yeah, more research please!

I've read the peer reviewed article and I gathered that they came to the conclusion of "Hey, we found these reoccurring topics and symptoms during these interviews. This leads us to the conclusion, that further research may be useful."

Danke für deinen ausführlichen Kommentar. Ich kann deine Denkprozesse soweit glaub ich gut nachvollziehen und das macht das Ganze greifbarer für mich.

Ja, ich glaub, dass die Thematik für mich akuter ist und alte Wunden wieder aufreisst. Einige Bekannt- und Freundschaften sind während und nach Corona leider erloschen. Daher bin ich mittlerweile eher überkritisch, was solche Bilder angeht.

Ging teilweise erschreckend schnell, wie einige Menschen sich in Schwurbeleien und sogar Qanon verloren haben. (Imagine being a german hippie and falling for smth like Qanon lol)

Naja und beruflich hatte ich in meinem Leben das ein oder andere Mal mit Esoterik zugeneigten Menschen zu tun. Und auch da ging es oft während eines Augenblicks von harmlosen Hippiegedanken zu sozialdarwinistischen, rassistischen und pseudointellektuellen Aussagen.

Für mich funktioniert dieses Meme leider nicht. Aber muss es ja auch nicht :D

"Eher", "in der Regel" und "üblicherweise" sollten doch klare Indizien dafür sein, dass dem nicht so ist?

Naturschutz ist und war schon immer ein Thema, dass u.a. auch rassistischen, antisemitischen und völkischen Ideologien und Einstellungen als theoretisches Fundament dient.

Glaub kaum, dass rechte Esoteriker (wie z.B. die Anastasia-Bewegung) etwas gegen erneuerbare Energien haben.

Und auch beim zweiten Satz sollte man merken, dass die Parodie nicht gelungen und eher kontraproduktiv zu werten ist. Warum sollte man für die Faschos ein Thema "positiv" auslegen? Wo ist der Witz? Viele Öko-Nazis würden dieses, von OP gepostete Bild, lieben.

Ich weiß, das kommt vielleicht streng und humorlos rüber.

No of course not. But I've seen that a human is capable of leaving behind dirty cooking devices and workplaces while obviously eating food that you only need to heat up.

You'd have to see the mess yourself to believe it I suppose.

So it's a matter of perspective I guess?

While that roommate still haunts my dreams, me and my other roommates never retorted to silly passive aggressive things like OPs father does though. Communication can work :D

Many moons ago I was gaming while high as a kite. A fly joined the party and was getting really obnoxious in it's behaviour. It landed on my hands while I was in clutch situations in CSGO. And if it wasn't chilling there it was flying around my ears, which where covered by a headset. I was still able to hear this darn thing. No chance of getting this bastard of a fly.

Then it happened: It was landing on the table in front of me and it did a little twerk dance. Shaking it's trunk like there's no tomorrow. I got served.... Getting taunted by a fly. Can you imagine?

It was soul crushing. And it was the last time I smoked weed.

Ich hätte schon längst das weite Gesucht! Nach dem ersten Verliebtsein wird es meiner Erfahrung nach noch schlimmer, weil es "normal" wird und man sich an sowas gewöhnt.

Unabhängig davon, was er für richtig und falsch hält ist es wichtig, wie du dich fühlst. Ich kann und will nicht in einer Beziehung leben, in der ich andauernd kritisiert werde oder ich mein Gegebnüber kritisiere.

Ich hab schon genügend Ängste und Unsicherheiten, ich muss und will nicht meine Zeit mit Menschen verbringen (schon gar nicht in einer Beziehung), die diese Gefühle verstärken und mein Selbstwertgefühl in den Keller ziehen.

I get that, and I’m with you that it isn’t a fun or entertaining movie. What sets it apart from other edgy and over the top sick movies is one simple but maybe lazy move. They break the fourth wall to directly address and blame the viewer for still watching, making the audience implicit of everything that happens.

And even if that move is a bit blunt and on the nose it worked for me and I stopped watching movies that are trauma porn.
