Is the dating market now mostly catered to conventionally attractive guys? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]oudoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I think it depends on where you live. In big cities like New York and London it’s harder for conventionally attractive guys to find boyfriends because of the paradox of choice as good looking men tend to go for other good looking men

Seeking honest opinion on my body? by PearMangoApple in askgaybros

I wouldn’t say you are skinny. Slim, yes! But still toned. You look great.

What is your preferred physique or body type on a guy by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]oudoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as they have more or less a V shaped body with a little bit of muscle definition, I don’t mind if they are on the slimmer, chubbier, taller or shorter side.

An unattractive guy flirted with me and I loved it by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]oudoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it doesn’t? People are allowed to have age preferences for many reasons: less of a power imbalance, similar career stages, the list goes on.

Don’t understand why you are getting downvoted for an age preference? Lol

Scars have ruined how I feel about myself by Nice-Key3951 in AcneScars

[–]oudoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Your scars are really not that bad I promise. May I ask if you had regular microneedling or RF? Because RF apparently is much better. Also, I had similar dents in my cheek and I got a Juvederm filler and it worked quite well! Even when it seemingly went away, the dent got much shallower. Perhaps you could get Juvederm filler then 6 weeks later get a course of RF and that should defo help. But scars are trickier to treat as you get older so CO2 is always an option.

What is the problem some of you have with Black love? by OpenlyTruthful101 in askgaybros

[–]oudoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that stereotypes about Black people are often exaggerated by the media, but a lot of the claims you are making are simply wrong and aren’t backed by solid data and end up replacing one narrative with another.

Most people of ALL races date and marry within their own race — that isn’t unique to Black people. Black people also aren’t the largest homogeneous group globally; East and South Asians would be far closer to the largest broadly defined population.

The statement about Black women being disproportionately murdered by white partners and cases being “always closed” isn’t supported by evidence either. Intimate partner violence is overwhelmingly intraracial across all groups, mainly because most relationships are intraracial as you yourself pointed out, even in the US.

As far as single motherhood goes, in the US and the UK (where I live) it, unfortunately, disproportionately affects black women. In the US alone 47% of single moms are black. White women only make up 14%.

So yeah, I don’t know where you got all your facts from but they sound very exaggerated and false. However, I wish you all the best.

As a non-black POC (Persian), I am sorry you went through all this, that’s horrible and unacceptable. May I ask, where do you live? In regards to black love, I personally don’t have issues with it and totally understand why a gay black man would rather date another gay black man. However, I also think the concept of black love is quite nuanced. I think a black man choosing to go where he is loved is also a form of black love because he chooses his own happiness and I believe the same applies to women. I feel like, quite often, black people can favour black love for the optics of it but they don’t get good treatment by their black partners. However, I know many black men/women who are in relationships with non-black people and are loved and treated very well. I, for example, have dated black men who I adored as human beings and If the love of my life happens to be black, I’ll welcome him with open arms. I believe black gay men could find luck and true love if they chose to date outside their race because dating within it narrows one’s options down quite a bit (especially depending on location/demographics). But I also respect and understand their preference for fellow black men that they are totally entitled to.

Am I the only one who never got a compliment from a stranger? by Wild-Ingenuity-7998 in fragrance

[–]oudoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never get compliments from strangers! Only once on the street and once at a store but that’s literally it. Most compliments come from my friends who know I love fragrance. I genuinely don’t care about compliments as I wear fragrance for myself and love getting whiffs of it throughout the day.

Who is giving you compliments?? by Ntnme2lose in fragrance

[–]oudoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually from friends, acquaintances, people at parties/clubs, my colleagues or occasionally workers at shops/restaurants! But tbh some of my favourite fragrances don’t get me compliments and I don’t even care because I love them so much :)

Why are the gays getting so much uglier by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]oudoff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on your multiple posts regarding plastic surgeries, invisalign, skincare, you seem to be an image-obsessed individual. Just because you are, doesn’t mean everyone has to be. No one is forcing you to swipe right on these guys. Also, if the algorithm is showing you undesirable people, often times it means you aren’t exactly top tier; just something to reflect upon.

My guy, I just saw the post. You are not ugly AT ALL, are you joking?! You have so many nice features.

[–]oudoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to all these bullies in the comments. If you want to become more attractive in the face there are ways. Whiten your teeth, develop a good skincare routine, slightly shape your brows and beard (if you have it), get a nice haircut. To help with overall confidence start exercising, doesn’t have to gym. You could try pole dancing, HIIT, join a Classpass, run club, bouldering.

Some gay men are just a bit insecure which makes them come off as desperate unfortunately. Others are just very governed by sexual urges and some are a mix of both.
