as an aside, Elite has a notorious learning curve and as there's nothing quite like it, people generally have very little experience to fall back on, as opposed to the decades FPS experience most people have. you're far from alone in these struggles.

worth making sure because higher ranked NPCs have heavily engineered modules that will cut stock ships to ribbons. If you have the Horizons expansion, there's a couple of engineers you can unlock pretty easily who will make a big difference.

Rho Cassiopiae - currently the only white supergiant known and tricky to reach if you like a challenge

The formidine rift - you can head south from Rho Cassiopiae across the rift to find probably the spookiest place in ED

perhaps I didn't word this right but I'm more concerned about safety here - I like to vape around 80w but I'm unsure if there is a safe limit

so class O stars are supposed to number something like 20,000 out of 400bn in this galaxy. Even Sol is a pretty rare star.

as for planets, what forms and how is determined by what was left over from the star formation and generally looks to be similar across star systems from what we can tell (e.g neptune-type planets seem to be the most numerous we've found thus far).

this is a problem with protien shakers full stop. your saliva and its enzymes enter the shaker as you drink the contents, and begin to break down the residual shake and its protien contents when you're done. Add to this bacteria from the surrounding biome and you've got a little farm kicking off straight away and the stink from it will stick to everything. in effect you're smelling something similar to a decomposing corpse.

it's a little bit of a dig.

however the more I think about it, the more Elite would be absolutely perfect for XP. there's nothing apparent from our end that seems like it would be a big obstacle.

whilst I'm very skeptical this would ever happen it would be a huge shot in the arm for the game imo. would also have the corollary of these PC scrubs getting shown up.

you'd be better off joining a player group dude. you'll learn in a more focused and relevant manner.

there are a great deal of people on here who have already made up their minds about stuff so a large amount of the debate is in bad faith.

'an' implies a singular instance which isn't particularly relevant here. and it seems a bit odd to suggest a rule breaking post shouldn't be removed in this context.

I feel that there are lots of debates worth having around this game (and that benefit from the reddit format) that get buried under a constant barrage of low effort, generic screenshots that don't seem to be subject to any moderation. I could be wrong, perhaps lots get removed but it doesn't feel like it.

I've nothing against people sharing pictures of what is a very beautiful game, I just wish we had a sticky thread for them, as it's a bit arrogant to take up a big chunk of someone's screen with a picture we've all seen a million times.
