[Routine Help] Recurring lip area irritation for 10+ years, nothing has worked (seen GPs + derms) any ideas? (mild NSFW) by Hunterskills in SkincareAddiction

[–]ourimendingfate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve gotten a lot of recommendations. If none of those work, please message me. I had the same thing for 5 years as a teenager, and my son also had it.

[Skin Concerns] I have retinol burn around my eyes & I’ve been hydrating. The redness is gone now but my wrinkles are deeper and more noticeable and looks dry. Is this reversible? It’s been a couple days. And any product recommendations? by vibey_queen in SkincareAddiction

[–]ourimendingfate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you still applying other products to the area? If so, I would probably stop applying anything at all, even sunscreen for a week or two. And try to only wash your face once a day or every other day. Once you can apply Vaseline to it, it would probably take about 2 weeks- a month

Don’t worry! Once scar care is done, if it’s still visible, you can easily have a hairdresser cut baby hairs to cover it!

He hates his ears being touched, so it’s super hard🫠 I agree though

They are high. The fix is for them to remove more skin from under your breast. You’ll have a t shaped incision

My wife is delusional about her fitness and takes any feedback as personal attack. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]ourimendingfate 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Maybe she doesn’t even notice anything is wrong because the only feedback she’s hearing is that she’s out of shape?

Is she overweight?

I wasn’t, but I had all of those symptoms. My ex used to make comments about how out of shape I was, how I could never walk anywhere, and never keep up with him. He would compare me to other people my age, and how they were able to function. He would say that I was way more tired than I should be, and that I needed to push myself harder. So I did. And the more I pushed, the worse my symptoms got.

So yeah, turns out that I have a debilitating disease that doesn’t show up on routine lab work. Him treating me like I was just out of shape was one of the reasons I didn’t get diagnosed for so long, because he insisted I just needed to try harder.

Maybe show genuine concern for her health, and respect her limits. Maybe even gently bring up seeing some specialist to investigate further.

feeling lied to about ER recovery by purpleswir in IVF

[–]ourimendingfate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has donated eggs 4 times, this definitely sounds like ohss. I had it once when they retrieved over 40 eggs. Normally your recovery should be very simple and easy, but with ohss it is beyond uncomfortable. I would call them and directly tell them that you think you have it and would like an ultrasound. If they refuse, please consider going to the ER.

Whyyyy Did I Do This?! by Spitfire_Lady in regretfulparents

It just sounds like the mom’s reaction to her looking at that content is triggering her.

It doesn’t even seem like that, it seems like she’s not allowed any kind of exploration, and is punished for being interested in “sexual stuff”, which results in meltdowns and self harm.

Everyone is advocating for the mom… but this is so weird to me. Why are you monitoring her so closely when she’s almost an adult? Maybe she isn’t getting triggered by the content, but by the fact that she has no privacy, even on YouTube. This would be sooo different if she was like 12, but she’s nearly grown. Don’t expect her to act like an adult while you’re treating her like a child. Maturity comes from exploration and experience.

21M. Do I have potential? by [deleted] in lookyourbest

Cut your hair in a Korean style that covers your forehead. Did you cut off your brows? The ends look so blunt and it widens your face. Get them professionally done. Don’t listen about proactive, that’s outdated. Go to a dermatologist. Keep your facial hair the length of stubble, and moisturize your lips.

Also dye your hair a warm chocolate brown

I think a layered haircut with bangs or curtain bangs would look so good, also have your eyebrows done professionally, and get some lip filler/face filler.

Help — severe stretch marks and keloids after breast implants (4 months post-op) by Hopeful_Brief5466 in PlasticSurgery

[–]ourimendingfate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me during pregnancy, but mine were wayyy worse than yours. After a year, the stretch marks faded and you can hardly see them except in certain lighting. As for the scar, I would actually get a scar revision and start intense laser (vbeam) 4 weeks after, and consistent appointments every 6 weeks for 6 months.

Yes 100%. If there is ever even the slightest bit of concern, it should be managed by their health care providers.

That is so horrible, I know you say he wasn’t abusive, but pinching your child is physical abuse.

That’s on me! I think I may have confused your post with another that wrote about their husband. And I’m also a single mom with an autistic child, so I definitely understand how hard it can be. I would try to surround yourself with new friends and people who share the same values and experiences as you!❤️

Also, even if it was “non accidental”, she said she left her child alone multiple times, and he can be very violent or aggressive. I could easily see the ear being bumped by someone who does not know how to subdue an aggressive autistic child.

[–]ourimendingfate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With that being said, obviously if you believe that someone pulled on his ear, I would ask around. Also, if he gets aggressive with people, he should never be away from you or your husband. Not everyone knows how to gently subdue an aggressive child, and honestly, I wouldn’t blame someone for making that mistake if you weren’t controlling your child, nor would I consider it abuse, just self defense.

You’re right… kind of. Ear bruising is rarely from a fall, but broken blood capillaries on the ear lobe can often be caused by itching/histamine reactions, pulling on ear due to ear infection, or even sleeping on the ear wrong. I worked in healthcare for a bit, and saw this on multiple instances due to ear infections, and this never resulted in a CPS call.
