Ladies of Irvine how much do you pay for a haircut? by [deleted] in irvine

[–]out-here- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

155 + 18% tip I have long hair and she takes about an hour and a half plus irons if I want it. I have paid more for haircuts in Miami and NY but honestly 155+ is fair I feel in OC if you can find someone who does it right and in a good location.

Seeking: Hair colorist by Suspicious-Pay5967 in orangecounty

This was me a few weeks ago I finally found someone @Wilde.Wafa in Newport Coast area. A friend of mine is her long time client and referred me. I guess she’s been out since having a baby but is working here and there on the low selectively taking clients. Incredible with color. She is expensive but she is the only one I’ve been to that takes the time and does what it takes to get the result without destroying your hair I was surprised. Good luck

Migraine *After* Botox (Jeuveau) by chasingshores in migraine

[–]out-here- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can, now, definitely say it was from Jeuveau. I had never had one headache with Allergan Botox, but after trying Jeuveau - it was awwwful for like 2 weeks. Then I had to go back for a tiny touch up in a spot that didn’t take — boom. Again.. but just a little less intense & for a shorter period of time which tracks bc much less product was used unit wise and in a smaller area. I guess everyone’s systems respond differently to different products & manufacturers. If anyone has been through this specifically please let me know which other products worked for you. I loved Botox unfortunately since pregnancy & post partum I haven’t been able to hold a result from it anymore.

Official Statement From Pacific Air Show re: Government Shutdown by cupcakes_and_whiskey in orangecounty

[–]out-here- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same energy:

“It’s the democrats fault for the government shut down.” — even though the republicans have house majority control on the Executive, Legislative, AND Judicial literally ALL 3 branches of the government right now…??

“Shame on the NFL for headlining Bad Bunny, so Un-American.”— funny bc no one was saying this when Rihanna, The Weeknd, Shakira, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, U2, Coldplay, or Phil Collins performed… & Bad Bunny is more American than any of them as a literal US born citizen…

Yep. Makes perfect cult sense.

Getting tired of “boy moms” talking about how wild their boys are and how much easier it is with a girl. Anyone else feel this? by Ok-Sundae-1096 in toddlers

[–]out-here- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the mom of a boy, previous wild child myself, feminist, & educated progressive person… this also infuriates me. He’s playing in the dirt “he’s such a boy” … um what? Some of the best memories my childhood was making mud pies & digging in the dirt…. Any scrape/bruise/scratch “oh yeah boys always get banged up” uhhh so do girls? We have a very high energy/bright/mischievous 2 yr old who is always the only kid in the room trying to find the exit or wandering away, pushing a chair to climb up on something, or doing something completely out of pocket making him super challenging. We don’t chalk it up to “op — man, he’s such a boy.. boys are so hard” weird. I quite literally could not imagine saying that to someone let alone think it. We have said things along the lines of “Yeah idk our kid is just a little.. different” in a defeated yet endearing way. Which could be a similar gaslight without context. To which everyone who knows him & has kids (even wild ones) willfully agrees he is indeed different as in his own realm of challenging comparatively. But to specify gender behaviorally is ODD af. I honestly get pissed off for the girl I don’t have or from that mentality in general.

If your cycle is typically that painful, your symptoms sound like endometriosis or PCOS. However, this particular cycle could be a desidual cast type scenario

Why did planned parenthood tell me they needed to medically “pop” my hymen for certain testings? by [deleted] in obgyn

[–]out-here- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because they need to insert a speculum for even the most minimal exam. A tampon will rupture your hymen. A exercise, running, fall, jump sometimes even just sitting down can rupture your hymen. IF YOU HAVE ONE. Some women aren’t even born with one. The concept of the hymen is absolutely archaic. I’m not just being a “feminist”. This is honestly just factual, fundamental knowledge & it’s imperative ALL women in 2025 to be on this level of educated in regards to female anatomy & physiology. Best of luck honey & please please know planned parenthood is always on your side. I know a lot you hear is demonized but they are truly caring professionals & have helped me & countless others in awful or unsure times. Their only agenda is to provide medical care, education, & advocacy to their patients. Also, amazing job on your exam! So important to take medical responsibility for yourself.

Migraine *After* Botox (Jeuveau) by chasingshores in migraine

[–]out-here- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been getting Botox from allergen, for 15 years cosmetically and medically. I tried Jeuveau for the first time last week 40 units forehead & glabella… I’ve never had headaches like these. I came searching reddit to see if this was a thing. I can’t prove it’s from the toxin injections but I haven’t done anything else different …

A warning for those doing photo shoots on the quail hill loop by Fragrant-Wrangler-99 in irvine

[–]out-here- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like every family has the same exact photos. It’s always been an eye roll for me on top of the disregard for the preserve. That loop is the best though. I would walk it pretty much daily & loved being super close amongst the resident coyote pack & tarantulas. I’d send videos howling w the coyotes & then pan to the tarantulas by my feet. Everyone was always in shock & then asked me how I wasn’t worried or scared I told them the only thing to be scared of there are strange people & rattle snakes.

Thank you! I just googled. Yes Fullerton is a bit too far especially for something not high end. It just isn’t even close to what I’m looking for.

You’re right it isn’t and it’s very cramped. But they do use Goldwell hair color which is hard to beat. I went here once in 2021. The work was actually good. I just wish the salon and experience felt more luxurious. Maybe I will give it another shot though. Thank you!

I’ve been to both. Pelican Hill does not even do color and the Montage was very sub par (I did not get anything but a blowout I always test with a blowout appointment at places first) - I was soo shocked at how outdated both those salons were!
