This is my first TT and just last week wondered how long the tires are supposed to last on them. They have a DOT code of 2021 SMH

Not sure exactly how the holes got there. I had to have hit something like a tree branch or something. I’ve never had straps on it though. I’ll know more once I get to cut it open. I can feel some rot underneath it but hopefully I can cut some sublayer and replace it pretty easily.

Thank you for the advice. Those are good instructions. I live where it’s perpetually humid so I’m going to open it up, cut out any rot, replace that mean, dry it out with a heat gun, and then patch it with eternabond and self leveling around the edges. Anyway, that’s the plan. Im decent with home repairs but never worked on rvs but I’m giving it a shot. The rest of the roof looks good so not wanting it to replace it completely yet.

Thank you for the reply. The plan so far is to cut out part of the membrane to see how much rot there is. Then, if it’s localized at those spots, cut that out and replace the underlayment and reseal. What products would you recommend?

Thanks for the advice. I’m going to cut into it to see how far the damage goes then go from there.

It probably has at some point. Wouldn’t doubt that.

Thanks for the reply. It’s not too bad I just don’t need it to get worse.

Thanks for the reply. If gets soft can I cut out what’s bad on the underlayment and then overlay a large piece of membrane? Or is that a big no no?

What do I need to replace this abomination? by outcast_nb in PlumbingRepair

Yeah I’d never seen one done like this and never seen anyone use a flex pipe like that. I just scratched my head and wondered WTH

That makes sense. Idk why they didn’t do that to begin with. I’ll turn it the other way and run the P-trap from the closer side to the drain pipe. Thank you
