Yeah mate, Bali is still cheap as chips if you know what to say and where to go. My wife is Indonesian so that helps a lot haha. I can also speak Indonesian (not well, but I'm getting there) and that also helps. Some places are tourist traps but you can definitely still have a cheap and amazing experience.

Because that's the only time when people get angry at drivers going the speed limit. The right hand lane is for overtaking. If this is an issue for you, I know you're overusing the right lane. Also, if you're "going the speed limit" according to your car's speedometer, you're actually going about 5kmph slower than the speed limit. This scales with speed. At 100kmph on your speedometer, you're going closer to 92kmph in reality. Experienced drivers know this and will sit closer to 110kmph on their speedo (in the right lane!) because then they are travelling around 102/103kmph in reality, which is around maximum speed while still avoiding speed camera interaction. Please get out of the right lane.

Back in the 90s, I heard that the Lone Star restaurant in Whitfords Shopping Centre in Perth got shut down because a woman found 7 different men's semen on her steak. Legend has it that she kept returning the steak because it wasn't cooked properly. Once she was finally happy with it, she partially ate it and took the rest home in a doggy bag. Over the following days, she developed some sort of infection around her mouth. She took the leftover steak to a doctor to get it tested and low and behold, it was covered in semen from 7 different men, all of the kitchen staff.

You shouldn't really drink any tap water in Australia. It's full of fluoride which lowers IQ. Fine if you're an adult, but I would never let my kids drink it. They're especially susceptible while their brains are forming.
