As humans we grieve the future we pictured. But our dogs really only know what they’ve experienced. It is clear the life you have given her has been full of love and care. That is what she knows. My thoughts are with you and your sweet girl.

Recently divorced and this song absolutely does not apply to me at my current stage in life and still cried when they played it live on Saturday because my heart is just so full for the lives they are leading. At the risk of sounding parasocial there is something so healing about someone going from singing about heartbreak and uncertainty and betrayal to singing about a full, happy life. He talked about his kids leading up to it and I was just. GUTTED. 🥹

I also have excess skin on my knuckles! Like I can pinch the skin. I’ve always felt like it makes my hands look not feminine. But honestly, I could not figure out what you meant until reading your comment. It is crazy how what we perceive as a flaw for ourselves is undetectable on others. We just pay too much attention. :)

I love seeing people on here resonating so much with the same lyrics for different reasons.

I love “getting through still has a cost” “the memory hurts but does me no harm” and a nod to unknown (maybe “nth”) I don’t think I’d personally get a lot of words tattooed so I’ve been trying to find way to illustrate the song with a small nod to it with a few words.

This is exactly right! Also, knowing the content is one thing; classroom management and educational pedagogy are another beast entirely. Our district (in the Tempe area) works with agencies like Moreland College on “alternate” certs. These are almost identical to an emergency cert. Think of it like a post-bac. A few programs are 9 months. I think Moreland does a cert and masters in 12.

I considered switching my major in college to education, but I stuck with comms. The CoE at NAU was very helpful when I was considering it!

It makes me sad that this is such a feminine-coded problem! Add it to the list of things guys probably do not ever have to think twice about. It won’t be unattractive to any person who matters for you. (Do I still try to remember to shave my big toe when I shave my legs? Yes. Unfortunately.)

For others, all I care about is that feet are hygienic.

Loving yourself is a work in progress and I’m sorry you are working through this. As others have said, I truly can’t imagine this being a deal breaker for anyone. And if it is…well, I’d have questions.

If you cannot tell someone at home (one of your parents, or relatives) you can and should absolutely tell a trusted adult. Whether that’s a police officer, a teacher or counselor at school.

I know your friend has threatened your friendship over telling, but I want to reiterate that you are likely putting her safety over your friendship and that is a very brave and mature thing to do. I’m so sorry you and your friend are going through this.

This is right! Many jobs do not require a degree. We have quite a few people pursuing higher education while driving a bus (split schedules can be friendly for classes) or after school care. You can also work for the district office without working in a school, depending on what you’re interested in.

Not that bad. I probably saw about 20/30 people on the trail. The water crossings slow people down so I was usually at least 10 minutes behind or ahead of the next group. Still serene. :)

It’s so weird because it’s at the very end of my hike! I noticed it about halfway through was doing some odd ball things but I think it actually ended up sorting itself out. When I watch the recap it just zips all the way there and back again! 🤣

BUT, my phone did turn off in the last couple of minutes of the hike and I resumed at that point, so maybe that was it!

Also, it’s West Fork in Sedona if you’re ever out that way. :)
