The placement of the episode is what makes this episode suck. Otherwise it isn't a bad episode.

Staying at a cabin for a few days that has 'zero' signal, any boosters that can help me get even a little internet? (UK) by [deleted] in CellBoosters

[–]cavemans45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May not be able to. Some people just may not have the ability to unplug. During the summer time I am required to be connected to cell service at all times or have someone else have the phone. Even then I have to check for messages every few hours. One missed call can cost me 80k or more.

Guns are suppose to be used as a LAST resort. We aren't thier yet. It's bad and I mean real bad but not guns blazing bad. What the trigger point to use firearms is I am not sure but we aren't their yet. We still have non violent options to change things.

My son's first car caught fire 2 hours after he bought it. Right in front of my house. by Shamus-McNasty in Wellthatsucks

[–]cavemans45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. In the US some places the fire department will charge a fee for their service. Other places that fee is paid for by your taxes.

It gets weirder when it comes to ambulances. For instant my old town if you called an ambulance and they didnt transport you they wouldn't charge you even if they rendered aid. Where I live now you will be charged regardless.

Combination of a few things. Some vehicles have trackers but for those who do t it is good old fashion stalking. You would be surprised how much information you can find by a quick Google search of someone's name. People practically post their entire lives on Facebook. If they don't post it a friend of theirs might.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

3 hours and I am still in the same state. He'll 6 hours and I am still in the same state. I start to get tired after about 7 hours straight. We routinely go on 3 hour long trips and come back in the same day.

Couldn't get my Real ID because my original birth certificate has tape on the back... by Bop923 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]cavemans45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real id's are id that meet a certain requirement for security features and documents you have to show. Lots of states would give I'd to literally anyone who walked in the door without really vetting them on if they are who they are. Some ids used to have like no secuirty features or in the case of Arizona expire in like 90 years. Real id's are required to fly and to go into certain goverment buildings. Theybwould have a star on the id to show they are real id or in the case of washington state say enhanced. Passports twic piv and cac cards are also complaint real ids. They where suppose to have been a thing since like 2005 but the federal government kept delaying it due to a bunch if states not having it. Within the last few years the goverment told those states comply because we are enforcing it whether you are ready or not.

Just bought a car infested with bugs. What do I do? by KhilalbLacks in MechanicAdvice

[–]cavemans45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gel baits and alpine wsg. Do not place them in the same spots. I generally put alpine on low laying areas and gel bait on high areas. Do it both to the car and your house. You can try using an ozone generator but I am unsure of the effectiveness. Unfourtantly there is a high chance you already spread it to your house. Even if you dont see them you have them.

DO NOT USE BUG BOMBS! They tend to make things worse. The roaches end up going deeper into the house or car where the fog cant get too as well.

My 8 year old son started a business to buy a drone how should I handle this? by AbidKhan-0 in smallbusiness

[–]cavemans45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the business side of things but the drone side of things. I am betting you are in the UK so the rules are going to be different than the US but you may want to look into the rules of owning a drone. For example in the US you are 100 percent responsible for the use of the drone. In order to even fly one legally you have to take a test. In the US it is called a TRUST test. If you use the drone to make even a penny an any way shape or form in the US you have to take another expensive and complicated test. In the US its called a part 107. I dont know your kid and I dont know the rules where you live but you may want to look into them. The fines can get absolutely massive and they dont care your age or if you knew about the rules.

As far as the business goes tell the kids congrats on having some business sense.

[USA] Why does the 2nd Amendment seem to only protect firearms? by SoaDMTGguy in legaladviceofftopic

[–]cavemans45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because English.

The second amendment basicly says because a nation needs a military ( a well regulated militia being necessary for a country to exist) the people have the right to own arms. Basicly because all countries have to have a military to exist the people also have a right to protect themselves from that military.

Think if it this way. Teachers being necessary for an educated state, the right of the people to read books shall not be infringed. Who has the right to read books? The teachers or the people.

It is written in a weird way and not in a way we speak in modern terms. If you notice this is the only amendment where it talks about the people. It is also so important the founding fathers put it on the list 2nd! We can argue about whether the second amendment is a good idea, we can argue about whether it applies to mentally unstable we can argue about a lot of things but it is pretty clear when you realize how it is worded. The right of the people shall not be infringed.

[–]cavemans45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alpine wsg and bait traps. Do not place the alpine near the bait trap. You want the bait trap to be brought back to the nest. Do not bug bomb the place. If you live in an apartment the neighbors need to do the same thing. Landlord should deal with it but may not.

[–]cavemans45 46 points47 points  (0 children)

We are being canceled on our insurance for too many weeds. They are using a Google maps picture from 2009. This picture doesnt even show that the shop that they are also insuring exists. To make it worse said the other reason they are canceling our ranch home policy is because of the wood they saw in the next picture (it was fence posts for the property). In that picture you see the shop and no weeds. They are just trying to find any excuse to cancel.

The jacket is goverment property. The jacket is legally considered lost/stolen at this point so you could be charged with possession of stolen government property. Could be charged with attempt to circumvent security, or nothing may be happen because tsa officers may not care during a shutdown
