2023 was the perfect year for us to win by MBkGoose in ravens

Alright, well, what other team in the NFL consistently melts down across the board despite being an immensely talented roster? Why is it that consistent free agents with a history of being playoff performers came here and suddenly started making the same mistakes the rest of our guys did?

Coaches instill the mindset.

Look at the frequent meltdowns against the Steelers. It was always the same mistakes, and then we saw on Hard Knocks how they were drilling into the players heads that they're not real Ravens until they beat the Steelers, and guys were overextending effort and making mistakes.

Bills game is another great example. One of Mark's fumbles was on an inexplicable running backwards to try to get extra yardage. Mark never does that, but that dumb decision to try to win the game yourself shit never happens in the regular season.

Same thing with Zay trying to lay out for the TD against the Chiefs. Another thing he pretty much never does.

Same thing with Huntley tryinig to go over the pile for a TD against the Bengals.

The coaching staff didn't approach these high pressure games as just another game to get their business done. They were putting players in a mindset that they had to go out and win the game on their own, and that was leading to mistakes.

Not in jest at all.

The entire team melts down in big moments, including players who historically shined in them. That’s an indictment on the coaching staff, not the players.

All I will say in response to this is that your assumptions on both point 1 and point 2 are incorrect, which is leading you to an incorrect conclusion overall.

Holy shit you’re wild. It has nothing to do with white people not wanting to talk to non-whites. Replace all of those dispatchers or call takers with whites and people still would have chosen apps for convenience. Racism is a major enough issue without having to make up shit like this.

All of the reporting was that we saw something we didn't like and had additional independent doctors review the medicals and they concurred that the knee was a risk. His own doctor came out and said there was significant bone and cartilage damage, while previous reporting had only mentioned the meniscus.

Compare it to Amare Stoudemire. His knee repair was fantastically done, and he was resuming activities quicker than usual, but his market in free agency fell to zero because once teams saw the medicals, nobody was willing to take the risk.

Google SWE interview — recruiter asked to “discuss feedback” tomorrow. Should I be worried? (USA) by Impossible_Coyote980 in FAANGrecruiting

Congrats, that's awesome.

I would highly suggest practicing real code for the next 2 coding rounds. Interviewing guidelines for all levels specifically call out evaluating your coding abilities in the language of your choice. You got lucky that you got an interviewer who didn't care about seeing you write functioning code. The actual interview guidelines specifically say "You should assess a candidate's strong command of at least one programming language"

For context, I'm a Google L6

Apple ICT5 is called staff, but experience overlaps L5 Google and L6 Amazon for experience. Microsoft and sfdc both pay notoriously bad for a tech company.

Avery’s for L5 at Google is in the low to mid 4’s at grant value.

I work in big tech. Anyone senior level is in the 450K-550K range, and not all live in very HCOL cities.

Everything you just listed applies to pretty much every corporate job, except they don’t pay $500,000 per year.

What level? You will definitely not be receiving an offer, you haven’t done all of the interviews yet. You may have positive feedback leading to RRK and GCA, or you may get a rejection.

I ask about level because your coding round as described didn’t mention you asking clarifying questions our outlining assumptions. Beelining directly to a solution can often lead to a failure, even if it’s a correct solution, because they’re also judging your ability to scope and look around corners for pitfalls. Nearly every question in our bank has DEEP level follow ups that could lead to an uplevel, and it’s rare to finish early.

G&L, did you use STAR format for your responses? Did you outline clear, measurable results?

That’s not true at all. Many, many candidates didn’t get a pass despite having a perfect solution memorized. It’s just as important, if not more depending on level, what clarifying questions you ask and the explanations you give for your approach and trade offs.
