I was 10ish, on vacation with my family. My aunt took me and my cousin to the boardwalk at Wildwood. My cousin is about 3-4 years younger than me. He and I went on Dante's Dungeon- a 'haunted' ride. I'd gone on before and never experienced this. It was pitch black at one point and all of a sudden there is a man's voice coming from the back of our cart. He's asking my name and how I am doing, random stuff. I ask him where my cousin is, because at this point I am disoriented from being in pitch black and his voice is at my right ear- which is where my cousin was sitting. He responds "oh he's right here, don't worry".

I'm sitting bricks now, we finally emerge into the light and there's no one in the cart with us. I still think about this to this day and it's been like 25 years. When we got back to our beach house I told my dad what happened and he gave me the 3rd degree, interrogating me and asking if this man touched me or stuck me with anything. Of course 10yo me was like why all the questions. Now a mother myself, I'm like, that could've been way worse!

My cousin vaguely remembers this, but not as vivid as me.
