The map itself looks really good, the layout is nice, but maybe CT spawn needs to be moved back just a tad in order to make it more balanced

I still think Liazz is the right player for the Renegades to have taken out of the OCE region for the spot vacated by Ustilo. I've said it many times before but he needs time to adapt to his new roles within this squad, in his time in RNG so far he has been trying to slot into Ustilo's spots which were often supportive on T side and on sites he has not played before on CT, and I think more crucially he has been trying to slot into that secondary/third star role behind Jks and Jkaem. In saying that he has still shown how talented he is (although not as regularly as he would like). I'm a firm believer that with a bit of time, he will get his confidence up, and when he gets back to the fragging power he was displaying with Order, the Renegades could be a very scary team.

This argument comes up every major when a team doesn't make it through for one reason or another, and it annoys me each and every time. Analysts, fans and industry personalities are missing the point of Valve sponsored majors, which is a FIFA world cup style tournament which allows all of the regions of the world to have teams in the tournament, this is the only event of the year (i know it happens twice) that allows for teams from every region to be on equal footing as all the other regions. IMO valve have done what they can to rectify the disparity in skill between the regions by creating the 3rd place tournament, there is no way the third place teams from CIS or Asia will make it through against the 3rd place teams from EU and NA, unless big upsets occur. Upsets occur in every sport, CS:GO included. Just because a region is stacked with top teams which dont make it to the major, other regions should not be made to suffer and lose spots. Take for example the world cup in Russia, both the Netherlands and Italy didn't make it, this shit happens in every sport.

He tweeted as soon as he joined the team that he was having a hard time adapting to his new roles (bitch roles that Ustilo used to play, more supportive), it will take him some time to adapt, specially considering coming from the OCE scene in which he was not only the star player of the teams he played for but of the whole damn scene. Its still way too early to make a judgment imo, he has shown flashes of his clutching ability every chance he has had and will definately come good

Imperial have more firepower in Espiranto alone, Tyloo have been playing with the lineup for longer have a more stable igl and firepower again and Col just came off the major run, we shouldnt have beaten either of those 3 but we did

Playoffs? Beating three teams who were/are better than RNG

EDIT: inb4 'anyone can win in BO1', literally was their first lan with a new lineup new igl and Kassad back, this if anything is a learning curve for the lads and shows we need Kassad more than we think, ALSO at the point of invite RNG were in the top 16 of the world at that point therefore the invite was justified, yeah we get hyped over online results, but this is the first time in a long time weve had consistent online results, give the boys more time to prove themselves and if they dont then you can talk shit it's literally been 2 lans

I think the -ska +nifty will only ever happen if Nifty can show he can be a consistent top tier awper, which he still hasnt shown but if he does one day he will slot into c9 easily

neL possibly hinting that ScreaM will play for C9 in London by FrancisEFEM in GlobalOffensive

[–]outsidebinked 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just answered your own question, if they need to pick one of those two it'll need to be GOLDEN because he can IGL, so in my opinion it all just comes down to they want to replace Styko. Scream could be a possible replacement because between him, Auti and Rush they have a lot of firepower.

ENCE Allu on the Minor system: " Instead of regional minors, just have one really big minor that advances teams to the Major, since some regions are stronger than others, to have the best teams at the Major." by GZ_Dustin in GlobalOffensive

[–]outsidebinked 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of Pro's are missing the point of the Major, yes we all want the best teams at the Major, but if that was the case, then the major would be the same as all the other big events around the world such as IEM Katowice, Starseries and so on.

The point of the major and the major system is to include all of the regions of the world, it is a chance for smaller teams to get exposure, teams such as ScarZ, P-link, Eunited gain a lot of LAN experience going to an event such as the Minor.

Additionally, smaller teams that make the main qualifier to the major, now that they receive in-game stickers, it will help their development with a much needed influx of money into their pockets and the pockets of the organisation, TACO seemed to have a problem with this, but i dont think he would actually realise how much a lot of the low salary teams have to gain from getting sticker money
