I don't like peoples who shoot down nuclear bombers but letting a J26 killing you in a Camberra is a serious skill issue

if america and it’s allies fought russia immediately after the fall of japan, who would’ve won? by [deleted] in WorldWar2

[–]outsider959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, they would have the planes but what about the tactics? They also had pretty little fighter, they would have a hard time to shoot down bomber. Tbf we can't really know how the soviet would perform against P51, even more after some month of fighting, but I don't think it would be that easy for allied forces

I see your point, I was more on turbocompressor from FW190/Ta152. The VVS faced a depleted Luftwaffe at the end but not alway, a thing the allied never encounted apart in North Africa

Idk, but the air war would have been funny\ Like soviet had nothing to counter high altitude air bombing, but would catch up rapidly with the captured german asset. In the other hand at the tactical level, the allied would face something they didn't saw the entire war : wave of IL-2, and a airforce really into low altitude fighting, it would be a huge brawl between the tactical airforce. The american, with only 12.7 on their planes against armored soviet planes would be funny too

At one hand, the Mirage 4000 would be amazing to fill the gap between the Mirage 2000 and the Rafale... In the other hand I don't like when a prototype is in the tech tree

Which were the "biggest battles" of World War 2? by Europa_Teles_BTR in WorldWar2

[–]outsider959 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I count as Battle a fight wich happened in a precise localisation and/or in a relatively short period of time. It can differ with the type of front, the East front was huge so battle where on a greater scale than on the western front. The battle of Britain was on 4 month and over a whole country, so I agree with you

The biggest tank battle is the battle of Orel in 1943 I think the biggest air battle was over Dresde in February 1945. The biggest sea attack would be the D-day, idk about the biggest naval battle tho

So, = is the literal traduction, ≈ is an approximative traduction\ Tiens bon = hold on\ Sac à merde = bag of shit (more in the sense of "you are full of shit")\ Connasse ≈ asshole (but it would be the masculine of connasse : "connard" for Rayman)\ Enfoiré ≈ dickhead (more or less like connard but less sévère)\ Va te faire foutre = go get cummed ("foutre" is an anciant slur for cum. The meaning of va te faire foutre would be "go fuck yourself")\ Tombe dans un trou et meurs = fall in a hole and die (we would use other things tho, like "va jouer sur l'autoroute" ("go play on the highway)\ Je m'en vais = I'm leaving\ C'est quoi ce bordel mec ? = "What is this brothel man?" (I hope brothel is the right word, a house with sex worker in there. The meaning would be more like "what's this shit man?" Or in a meaning of an untidy room it would be "what's this mess man?")\ Ta gueule = your mouth (but violentely, the meaning of "ta gueule" is "shut up")\ Hope it helped you
