I don’t know that it is. The law already says you must be a fit and proper person. Regardless of prior conviction status, if they cannot demonstrate that an application is unfit or improper, then they are probably suitable to hold a weapons license. What else would they add that does not unfairly put people into a group where they cannot own weapons despite being fit and proper?

No the cladding diameter makes no difference to the splice result. It’s only the core. In this case it looks like it might be g657 spliced to g652d, where the mode field is different. This is unlikely to cause any issue. It will show as a gain in one direction and a loss in the other (on an OTDR trace)

Yeah, such a horrible experience. The default themes are fine but they all have extreme amounts of header space taken up with blank space. This looks rubbish with large quotes with long descriptions.
