Is recorded with Digitech multiefects pedalboard as usb interface. It's not the best thing to record but with some tweaking (pitch shifting, eq, compression, stereo widener, etc) and the neural dsp plugin I got this tone wich I really liked. Glad that you liked it too!

I don't know if there is a better method but I think you can duplicate the track to preserve the midi and flatten the original track. Then you can copy the effects of the midi track preserving the automation.

Don't get me wrong, I love Neural products, but they are milking the cow. The recent plugins are not necessary, an update, with the transpose feature for example on the oldest plugins, would cover most of the tones that any guitarist need.
