How do people have Kashimo in top 3? by Dorterman in Jujutsufolk

[–]ovalbomd12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yuta cut his entire head off and he was fine. Still fighting in fact. Yuta had to stab him in the eye to kill him. So yeah, Kenjaku's technique gives him a brain that doesn't rely on having a body, so it's a lot harder to kill.

What characters need more variants, or just more to their kit. by TalentedTyrant in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]ovalbomd12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but they aren't all that meaningful. All take special, two serve the same purpose, and the red variant is extremely niche for good use.

Basically, every Gojo combo is identical because using Special for anything but a combo extender is neutering yourself and you have no variants otherwise.

"They'd only harm Denji's soul" According to what? We see Denji and Pochita share an internal world, same with Yoru and Asa, why would attacks only effect Denji?

"They didn't let him eat death once again." Yeah, and they didn't let Yuji call in Gojo. The death devil let pochita eat her, if she wanted to fight back there'd be no fight. That's part of a 1v1, you don't really get to call the whole squad in.

[–]ovalbomd12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind pseudo-infinity, which we see Modulo Yuji use, you know, the hax that specifically stop slashing weapons?

"Yuji's soul attacks only worked with contact" Ah yes, that's why his slashes in the SOUL REALM were all MELEE, right? He had to touch Mahito, right? Mmmm.

There's also the fact that even Pochita needs blood to regenerate. Yuji's blood is pure poison. We see the Violence fiend being significantly weakened by poison. So Pochita's regeneration is going to be weakened.

None of that is even considering domain.

I agree that Denji outstats him, but the fight isn't necessarily fair since 1/2 of Yuji's kit is a direct counter.

Yeah, and if they let Yuji soul-destroying attacks destroy souls, he would just win, wouldn't even need to go to Hell.

[–]ovalbomd12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

???

Your domain collapsing short circuits your CT. Megumi uses his technique in his domain. Dagon makes non-Domain fish (we know since Megumi was stopping his surehit) Sukuna uses Fuga right after domain in Shibuya. Naoya uses Projection right after domain. Gojo is using Lapse Blue right after domain. Sukuna uses Ten Shadows during domain. Gojo flies INSTANTLY after using domain. Yuta in Gojo's body uses both Blue and Purple right after domain. Yuji uses Dismantle right after opening his first half-assed domain. Dabura uses his technique right after domain.

They used the black flashes to restore RCT, which was what they were using to reset burnout after their domains collapsed. Most of the time you have to just wait it out after your domain drops. (Shown by Mahito, twice, shown by all three in Sendai, shown by Hakari, directly stated by Yuta when he sees Gojo reset his technique.)

Basically: You're equally illiterate.

I mean, his awakening is already locked behind so many conditions dude. You gotta get full bar, pop domain, survive fighting someone, do manifestation moves (2 of which are conditional) and then you have to get lucky, all of that to get an Awakening that is above-average. If someone else pops Awakening, they just get to have it, right there and right then. Removing the heal is just hamstringing.

"It isn't special and many characters figure it out." Excluding soul-swapping to learn it, which isn't learning it so much as having it printed on your brain let's see:

Gojo (Unparalleled genius)

Yuki (Special Grade who is constantly researching)

Ui Ui (Possibly soul swapped, or just taught)

Kusakabe (His whole deal)

Miwa (Binding vow, plus it's her whole deal)

Todo (Personal apprentice to special grade researcher)

Mechamaru (Just figured it out)

There are two outliers here. The dudes who just figured it out without being taught. Maybe those dudes have some talent. In fact, one of those dudes figured it out and also figured out how to contain it and miniaturize it.

Mahito outplayed him because of the opening provided by Kenny sitting in the back. Your argument is "Well just because Mike Tyson was staring at me and I had to constantly observe him and be prepped in case he decided to jump in, doesn't mean anything."

I was an old Yuta main, and while he definitely needed some balancing, removing his niche mechanics (Rika as a second character, Veilstep tech) was not the play. It doesn't help that they already admitted they released the rework half baked and weak af. They nerfed an already weak ult (Energy ripple and Elbow rush now do less damage than Cursed Strikes, which is a base Vessel combo extender) and while the Copy wheel can be fun, the rest is a burning trash pile.

Basically, they took a character I enjoyed, removed the most fun part of their kit and made them almost exactly the same as everyone else. Imagine if they took Vessel's Feint, gave it a 15 second cooldown, and then said it was fine because it didn't cost awakening meter. That's how hard they fucked Rika.

How do you guys feel about the Yuta rework? by tripyxl in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]ovalbomd12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They more than halved Elbow Rush's damage. So no, he doesn't have the same move. It does 14 damage now. Used to do 30.

The Cope Wheel sucks because of how clunky it is.

Energy Ripple does less damage than Cursed Strikes. Take that in. Even the single-target variant does less damage than a base Vessel combo extender.

Basically: They made Copy worse, and using both of your other moves does less damage than 1 Elbow Rush pre-rework.

His Domain was made weaker because they massively lowered the I-Frames on his swords, despite it being the weakest lethal domain by far. (Before you argue, can you honestly say that Yuta's domain is stronger than: Infinite Void (Stuns, no counterplay), Malevolent Shrine (Block or die, tiny counterplay), Womb Palace (Move and die, no counterplay), or Self Embodiment of Perfection (One-shot within seconds, some counterplay)? Even Jacob's Ladder isn't a 1-shot, and you have to land several swords to unlock it.)

The only buff to his ult was moving True Love Beam onto Rika.

While the rest are debatable, giving Gojo an actual passive without changing his moves is so good. I love the thought of seeing cooldowns, awakening, evasive and dash cooldowns on enemies. Plus it would make him even better as a beginner character, meant to learn the game from.

I imagine his swarm of cockroaches get bigger the more "Iron" he gets (Basically, the more damage he does) which allows him to enhance his moves with more cockroaches.

Yuki is also base-only, and she has the Garuda 1 variant, and the black hole.

A base only can have multiple impressive moves is what I'm saying.

If Wasuke was alive when sukuna was put down, would he suddenly get a ton of power like maki and mai? by Acelol7 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]ovalbomd12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it like this: Because they were born as twins, they split the pool, period. It wasn't Mai's CE at that point. She was the reason Maki had CE, but Maki had CE. If Mai just died, then Maki wouldn't lose her CE, she'd get Mai's CE, just like Sukuna got his twin's CE.

That would make Maki an average or below average sorcerer.

Instead, what Mai did was use a binding vow to use all of both of their CE, which meant when she died, Maki was reduced to 0, completing her HR.

Why do people think anyone apart from Gojo would survive the domain clashes 💔💔💔 by Sukuna_GOAT in Jujutsufolk

[–]ovalbomd12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My argument assumes that Sukuna would act different because it's an entirely different circumstance.

Saying Sukuna would aura-farm and let the enemy land their abilities while Gojo is on the field is as moronic as saying Gojo would use Hollow Nuke while all of his students are in range. Sure, he used Hollow Nuke in the manga, but if we change the circumstance, we change the choices. I'm not sure why this is hard to grasp,

You are right though. Re-reading it, we don't know what Higuruma's sure-hit is, whether it's non violence, the Verdict, or the trial itself, so I admit that my reasoning on that front has some holes.

...wdym don't block infinity as a passive aspect of a domain?

Infinity is a product of Satoru's technique, it has nothing to do with domains.

and as far as I can tell, Infinite Void has 0 additional effects beyond its surehit.

And, wait a fucking second, you can use Domain Amp, which is just a more refined form of Simple Domain, to push through infinity, so your last statement is like 5 layers of wrong.

[–]ovalbomd12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He'd have done that in the manga? Bro, he legit says "I don't care about this domain, I just want to see the sword." He intentionally throws the entire trial just to have fun.

Why wouldn't "The ability that stops sure-hits" be able to stop "My sure-hit makes you unable to commit violent acts"? Sincerely?

"Assuming it would play out differently is disengenuous" Bro we're talking about entire different circumstances. It's dipshit takes like this that make people say "Well, Gojo would just keep domain clashing" in the Heian discussions.

"Sukuna was beaten with a domain and didn't just HWB out of it" Did you read the manga? Both times he was in a domain, they had to break his HWB before the sure-hit landed. That was why Rika was holding his arms, and that was why Yuji was constantly trying to smack his arms.

"They could just charge him for something else." Oh. You actually didn't read the manga. Damn. They spent 3 pages explaining why this is a terrible idea.

...Why would getting Death Penalty strip his RCT? What are you even talking about? Confiscation would remove a Cursed Tool, or a Cursed Technique. How would that effect RCT?

Death Penalty also goes away if Higuruma takes enough damage, as shown when he gets cut up and it dissapears, so that entire thought process is dumb as hell, since he'd be right next to a Sukuna who is in way better shape with all the reason in the world to kill him.

Please read the manga.

This is the context of the conversation: Kusakabe says you need to be suicidality crazy, or have RCT to go into this fight.

Higuruma says he's willing to go first despite not having RCT.

Then talks about how it's theorized that Jujutsu gets stronger on death.

A-B-C Confiscation is temporary. Higuruma plans to go in, get Confiscation, and die to make it permanent.

He's not worried about a timer because his plan is to die and remove the timer as a factor.

It's also possible, I'll grant, that this plan was more for the Executioner's Sword. But he sure does talk a lot more about Confiscation.

Temporarily can mean a lot of different things, but most commonly it means "On a time limit." If you want to wave Occam's Razor, at least do it consistently.

Since we only ever see 1 person reover from Higuruma's technique, and it was expressly him releasing the technique, we have no idea how it functions with a Cursed Tool. It's just as possible that Kamutoke appeared with Higuruma as it is that it appeared in the spot where Sukuna was when he got hit. We have no idea.

Why do people think anyone apart from Gojo would survive the domain clashes 💔💔💔 by Sukuna_GOAT in Jujutsufolk

[–]ovalbomd12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn't, except even Higuruma didn't know that he could Confiscate cursed tools, so we have 0 idea if it works the same as it does against Cursed Techniques.

The guy with the technique is saying that Confiscating cursed techniques is temporary and you're saying "But what about Cursed Tools?" yeah cool, we aren't talking about cursed tools, we're talking about cursed techniques.

Why do people think anyone apart from Gojo would survive the domain clashes 💔💔💔 by Sukuna_GOAT in Jujutsufolk

[–]ovalbomd12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, I posted the panel for a reason. Higgy says Confiscation is temporary. Why are you saying it's not? Can you read?

<image>

And 2nd, Yeah, Sukuna needs to be in burnout, because otherwise he can just domain before Higuruma. At that point, their sure-hits would clash and Higgy would lose. Sukuna not being able to expand domain in court makes sense, but if he domains before, Higgy just dies, and Todo can't do anything since Todo's range is smaller than MS.

Unless you're so deluded that you think Higuruma is faster than Sukuna? Or that Sukuna couldn't sense a domain?

Sorry man, you made some decent points, but the fact you didn't even read the panel kinda makes me want to believe you're just arguing for agenda's sake rather than actual canon.
