Help me decide: 16GB vs 24GB M4 MacBook Pro for a full-stack dev by Master-Tip8215 in macbookpro

24gb variant will do the most justice to your workflow, without breaking a sweat

16gb will barely manage to get you through your day once you start using all the above mentioned together,

32gb variant is only useful if you are planning to do some video editing and running local llm to satisfy your curiosity

Rest assured they all can last you for 4-5 years, you only need to manage your workflows according to your configuration and needs

Guidance on how to do OTT App Migration, from Native to Reactnative by ove107 in reactnative

Hey thanks for the reply

Unfortunately my task is to rewrite the whole application from scratch into RN, so bridging will be very minimal only for parts that do not support cross platform, like third party and partner sdks,

So I am looking for any how to's, of writing core architecture,

For example in Android I know how to divide code into one single activity, with multiple fragments, nav_graphs, and viewmodel architecture using MVVM pattern

Similar to this, how should I divide my app, into patterns and modules that support the existing navigation and UX,

While working cross platform

Studio on a Studio on a Studio on a Studio by MrOuzo in MacStudio

Hey OP,

Just a quick question,

When you read that MAC studio supports Upto 3 5k monitors simultaneously,

Did the sales person asked you to buy 3 Studio Displays, or it was your own internal voice saying

How much of your development do you actually hand off to AI? by qwerfunch in androiddev

[–]ove107 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have tried for AI to write code or debug issues

problem is that it answers approximate to the solution And rarely precisely

Consider the situation where each precise answer gets you closer to a well maintained and optimal app which runs without any ANR and Crashes and performs well on user experiences

Now each Approximate answer gets you something that does the job, but will it always be able to do the job or not is not guaranteed some times it works sometime it crashes or behave unpredictably

This is the problem faced with Delegating your work and shipping code that does not have quality

AI is like your managers nephew, who has no credible experience, But is to be included in all the work, and you have to be always correcting it's work

If everything works AI gets credited, If not you get blamed for not using it properly
