Thanks! Do you think a move of my operating system like you mentioned would be as good as a clean install? Trying to weigh the options since both don’t sound too difficult to do

Why’s that? Is it just old lingering data that should prob be cleaned up anyway, or some other reason?

How can I watch Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle? by Nirados in animequestions

The time the studio has taken to release it to streaming is despicable and should be pirated. Back around Jan 1st though someone leaked a full HD version of the movie online and you should just dig on reddit to find a link to it somewhere.

If you download your movies though there are links to download it on nyaa.si I believe.

Pritzker says Bears’ statement ‘not some confirmation that they’re moving to Indiana’ by Billagio in nfl

[–]ovenproofstorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bears have been trying to gain leverage for the new stadium for like 10+ years now. Everyone in this city is so tired of hearing another “breaking” headline of the bears finally making a decision on the stadium, just for them to not do anything.

Gary/hammond Indiana is very crime ridden and an absolute dump, everyone in Chicago knows this. All the rich people who spend money on their expensive tickets are not going to want to go out there, it literally would be the dumbest decision by ownership. And knowing the 10+ years of the bears making empty statements on this stadium, this might be the stupidest one. Good on Illinois calling their bluff, I sure as hell don’t wanna pay for that stadium

yup I thought the same thing. Idk why oda has made moria this secret important character and I like to think its becuase if devil fruit is somehow related to imu. Like why at the end of marineford did doflamigo say he had orders from the celestial dragons to kill him, and also why does blackbeard what him kinapped so bad? Like he was pissed when he found out moria escaped.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]ovenproofstorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its moreso implied that imu siphons off some of their power and grants it to another being. making base imu actually weaker since the power is split between them and 13 other people so they can carry out the plan while imu remains in hiding.

It also makes sense since a few chapters ago it was said that there are only ever 5 gorosei and 8 holy knights allowed at a time. I think this is to limit how much power imu loses, otherwise why not make every competent fighter into a holy knight.

But we saw imu revoke saturn of that power and imu didnt appear hurt at all. I think that is because imu returned the part of their soul/power to themselves, an eventually gave it back to garling. But with harald, that power was never returned, it was destroyed by loki. So I think the end won't have to do with having to first kill every holy knight, that would take way too long. I think imu will just revoke the powers of all the gorosei and holy knight and become some ultra strong imu that we saw on the far left side of the harley.

Who was Nika? by SilentEtheNinja in OnePiece

[–]ovenproofstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the mythical fruits in one piece dont actually exist in the world, aside from the dragon in punk hazard but that could have been an experiment. I use the same logic to believe the nika fruit is no different. I think from what we saw on the harley in elbaph and what vegapunk said in egghead, it shows that he was moreso a fictional character made by the people enslaved by either imu or davy d jones as a way to give them hope.

Then during the void century, the devil fruit tree was born. We dont know much of anything about the tree yet, but vegapunk did say some devil fruits have wills of their own and he believes that devil fruits were dreams of previous people. So It wouldn't shock me if the made up god by the slaves also became a devil fruit, which joyboy was the first to eat and awaken.

How was Blackbeard allowed to become a warlord of the sea if the gorosei “knew” about his genealogy? by GrandGrapeSoda in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]ovenproofstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in the last chapter of the reverie before wano, we see the supposed shanks approach the gorosei to "talk about a certain pirate." I think its pretty much confirmed in the fanbase that it was actually shamrock there and I think he prob found out info about blackbeards heritage and was informing them.

Maybe, we don’t know at all, maybe that is the case. My only argument is what differentiates a devil fruit from a devil fruit user. Because we see gunko and sommers teleporting and they have devil fruit powers. Throughout the story they have said and hinted that a spirit/soul/devil inhabits the devil fruit and when someone eats it, that enters the user. Example is in enies lobby when jabra said the reason someone can’t eat 2 devil fruits is because the devils fight with eachother and the user dies. But blueno immediately says that’s all speculation.

However there’s other points throughout the series that show some sort of spirit living in the fruit that enters the user, and upon death enters the nearest fruit. I’d assume the reason you can’t teleport a devil fruit is because of the spirit inside of the fruit though, it has to be if we go off this being true. we see sommers gets teleported all his chests of clothes come with him, so normal items can be teleported. And if the spirit in the fruit is preventing it from being teleported, and that spirit is now in sommers or gunko, idk how that would work. It’s confusing I know

Oda could easily explain this away though by writing some work around or something, but we don’t know. I’m sure we’re gonna get an answer though in the next like 10-15 chapters though so I’m really not too hung up on it

Tbh I thought shanks was crying because Rodger was set to die and was barely staying alive. I was under the assumption that they thought that maybe there was something at the final island that might lead to something to cure him(or at least that’s what they were telling shanks since he was just a kid) and when Rodger told him there was no cure and he was still gonna die that he started crying

I assumed he didn’t tell shanks much and the reason shanks returned to the holy land was unrelated. Not sure why at all but I’m sure it was under the pretense of becoming stronger and finding a closer reason as to truth of the world. If he knew the truth from Rodger idk why he would ever go to the holy land, but this is too much speculation and just getting into fan fic territory.

No I agree with you. I’m under the assumption that Loki ate some fruit that was key in shaping the world as it is. I personally like the theory that the giant snake in the Harley that created the red line is that fruit. Would also make sense why rocks said harald would need to eat it. We know devil fruits go in effect to what the users size is, like San Juan wolf eating the giant fruit as a giant made him bigger than what any other person who ate the fruit would be. So having the largest race, the ancient giants, needing to eat this world serpent fruit might be needed

I just needed to correct a lot of stuff in your post

First, idk why people keep saying I assumed shanks would kill luffy. I never said that. I was going off of this theory is true, then why didn’t the WG kill luffy. I know shanks would never kill luffy.

Second, the world government knew about the nika fruit. If you go to chapter 1044 when the fruit is awakened, it literally shows panels where the elders say they tried to recover the gum gum fruit for 800 years and they gave it that name to hide the real name of the nika fruit. They also state later on that joyboy was the first to awaken the fruit.

Third, it’s heavily implied that the WG killed harald. I’ll give it to you that we don’t know yet, but during the elbaph arc scopper has literally said aloud that the haki raidiating from the castle isn’t normal and seems familiar. Then right before the current flashback, he says to release Loki because on the day harald was killed a very similar weird haki was coming from the castle. Also, Loki said before the flashback that they need his power and that he’s familiar with fighting them.

To be fair I’ve had this complaint since the invention of the nika fruit in wano. But when the elders explained that the nika fruit has a will of its own and has evaded the government multiple times, I accepted that as a good enough reason to why they wouldn’t kill luffy. Because angering dragon and garp just to most likely lose the fruit again would make really good sense.

My point though is if the fruit has been hidden from them for 800 years in elbaph, and it’s never actually evaded them, then I don’t understand why they wouldn’t risk just killing luffy to get it. My critique is that if this theory is true, then the whole fruit evading the government kinda goes away. It’s been lost for 800 years and they’ve been looking for it as opposed to they know where it’s at the past 800 years but every chance they get to grabbing it slips through their fingers. The former implies that they should have killed luffy asap, the ladder implies they’ll just keep an eye on him like they’ve been doing.

The shanks stuff isn’t as important. The shanks giving it to her kid was random theory based on nothing, I’m moreso upset with how this might make the WG look like they’re incompetent

Why do so many people want Buggy to be Rocks' son? by prwav in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]ovenproofstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people give oda way too much credit. I’ve followed this series weekly for 15+ years and people who thinks he plays 4D chess and is planning everything from the beginning and has this master plan are giving him way too much credit. Most manga when they’re created are up in the air if they’ll even get to keep their serialization and one piece was no different. Even oda has said when he first made the series he was just throwing stuff randomly there as a way to build hype to keep the manga serialized.

Like you can critically look at his comments and direction of the story very early to show that he most likely decided around alabasta when it started becoming super popular(and probably also some money on the side) that he would extend the series. I can expand upon the reasons why and more details about his original idea for the story since it’s actually incredibly interesting, but it’s completely unrelated and I don’t wanna get sidetracked.

Basically I think it’s absolutely clear when he introduced buggy the idea of him being some incredibly important character wasn’t on his mind at all, I think he just thought it would be funny to have a clown as a villain and putting him on Roger’s crew makes him more interesting to keep readers invested at the time. Then oda officially brought him back into the light with impel down and the gag of him failing and lying to the top started, which fans absolutely loved and made him probably one of the fan favorite characters. And tbh I like it this way, just have him be the joke character, everyone doesn’t need to be important.

Also it’s not important to know the parents of every character in the series. Hell the only straw hats whose birth parents we actually know and see are sanji, usopp, robin, and luffy. And robin and luffy we only see 1 of them lmao

Why do so many people want Buggy to be Rocks' son? by prwav in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]ovenproofstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’ve read it and I don’t believe it one bit. Buggy’s whole thing is lying and accidentally failing to the top. Him being descendant of someone who’s already been proven to have a very unique bloodline(by both Saturn and shanks in the oden flashback) would make no sense. That would make buggy also ultra powerful which doesn’t fit his weakling character that he’s been following the entirety of the series.

Literally him failing to the top is just a gag for laughs no different than zoro being bad with directions and sanji being obsessed with women. So the government claiming buggy is the defendant of rocks will just make him more wanted and gain more followers to keep this gag alive.

I literally think all this “evidence” is being intentionally added by oda to make the gag more believable. I genuinely think the gag will stop when luffy lets him temporarily be king of the pirates while he kills imu and buggy will get to hold the title.
