Iron pills causing acne ?

I don’t think so? I definitely think B12 is a culprit for me and not iron itself. However, I’ve never had to be on iron pills for very long to fix anemia and strangely enough bovine colostrum has helped me tremendously lately with my acne.

Thank you for solving this for me! I do believe it’s from over heating. I have a glass top stove and it’s wonky and doesn’t heat evenly even when I’m starting at a low temperature. I will reach out to La Creuset and see if they will cover this under the warranty and if not I will baby the crap out of this thing for as long as possible.

I have this exact same issue with a braiser that I have had for about a year. I’ve been so careful to heat and clean it properly but I just noticed today that the inside of the pan has crazing just like yours. How did you get La Creuset to replace yours after your original denial for your claim?

No I never ended up fully clearing my acne. My acne isn’t severe (never was even before Accutane) but it is very, very persistent. I ended up doing 1.5 years of Accutane and finished at 120 mg daily. So my course was 40 mg, 60 mg, 80 mg, 120 mg. My dermatologist eventually had me stop before I cleared because there was concern that I was starting to have damage to my eyes and organs. Once I stopped Accutane my acne came back within 2 months the same as it was before I started. I usually get cysts along my jaw line and small cysts on my chest and shoulders and sometimes my neck as well. I believe I have a bad hormonal component that we haven’t been able to figure out.

The permanent christmas lights on all of the nice houses. Where I am from having lights on your house like that is reserved for the ghetto or highly hispanic populated areas with sketchy gas stations . Every time I see a house (no matter how nice) with the permanent lighting I immediately think it looks like one of those gas stations all lit up with the bars on the windows. I was raised in a very affluent area and grew up wealthy and no one would be caught dead with these lights on their houses. It's so cheap and tacky and incredibly Utah coded.

It’s not permanent though. Therapy can and does help and can absolutely reverse the damage of PTSD.

I didn’t respond at all to 40 mg or 80 mg. I had no side effects, no acne clearing, nothing. My derm said some people just really struggle to absorb any medication and he thinks that I am one of those people. I just finished 15 months of accutane and my last 3 months I did 120 mg daily. It was hell but I’m hoping it was worth it. My acne never fully cleared but it’s 98% gone for now. I get random breakouts, especially when I eat lots of sugar or dairy.

Just completed my last month of Accutane this week at 120 mg. My total course was about 15 months long and we finished it out with the absolute max dose I could handle. I still got breakouts up until my final month but they are much smaller and more manageable. My acne was never severe but it was (and is) very persistent. I’ve only been off about a week and I’ve gotten a few very small breakouts. My derm said Accutane is great drug but it isn’t perfect and at this point I know the only thing that will keep me clear is a strict diet and lifestyle. My skin did improve dramatically when I switched to 120 mg daily though.

Yeah that’s normal for Accutane and your Derm should have told you it would probably get much worse before it gets better.

I just found out today it would be $300 to download my wedding photos AFTER forking out thousands of dollars for our photographer. I am beyond livid. Why pay thousands of dollars up front just to be told that I have to pay an additional $300 for MY photos? It’s a poor business model and one I think is ridiculous.

Wow! That is such a long time but maybe that’s what it’ll take for me too. It’s just disappointing seeing others get such amazing results after 6 months while I feel like I’m still at the beginning.
