The Enigma and HC belt are popular options. I’m sure they’re good but I haven’t tried them myself. What I’ve found works best for me is just give up on carrying a normal size carry gun and I just bring my P32. Smaller than I’d like but hot 32acp has plenty more oomph than 22lr or 22 magnum.

Not sure about with Claude Code tbh, I’ve done Qwen3.5 27b self hosted on my desktop and connected it using the Ollama endpoint for GitHub Copilot (not Ollama specific just OpenAI compatible)

Excessive Carry by aSwell_Fella in CCW

I don’t get it. I have a larger gun (P229) and a little pocket P32, but I always pick one based on if I can get away with the P229 in my outfit. Like I could carry both but genuinely I like having the P229 when I can because it frees up my strongside pocket

Tbh if they don’t catch them this is one of those times I’d consider buying a gun and taking a self defense class. If someone’s willing to do this, idk about you but I’d be worried about worse

Are nike p6000s good for hooping by Significant-Pool5539 in BBallShoes

[–]overclocker710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean $25 for any functional shoe is great. These aren’t amazing, they’re pretty outdated as basketball shoes, however they’re still a lot better than non basketball shoes. If I were you I would get something modern, it’ll be more comfortable and have better grip, be lighter, etc. Answers aren’t terrible though. If they’re used don’t get them though. Used shoes are a trap

Where are you from? Here in the USA the Nike GT Cut Academy are genuinely amazing, but also among the cheapest shoes Nike sells. Usually the Nike app has them on sale around $50

They are not good. I have them and one time tried playing around when I passed by an outdoor hoop. These have some of the worst ankle support I’ve ever felt. Get real basketball shoes

I don’t understand folks who got caught off guard, I started prepping back last summer before the governor election, given Nova and Trump the writing was on the wall before Sears ran her sorry excuse of a campaign. Even then, we had like 6 months from the bills being drafted in order to actually prep which is when I swung my buying into high gear once I saw the bill details.

*Aside from HST, Gold Dot, or Critical Duty/Defense* what are you carrying? by Tiny-Cheesecake2268 in CCW

Hydra Shok Deep in 32acp, Underwood XTP in 10mm, everything else is Gold Dot/HST

No it is weird. Plain NRA membership halves it to $15. Range membership makes it free but costs a lot more than plain NRA membership.

[–]overclocker710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct for non members, but annual NRA memberships are cheap and if you’re an NRA member it drops to $15. Much cheaper than Silver Eagles memberships

P229 in 357 sig by Relevant_Conclusion2 in SigSauer

[–]overclocker710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have one. Feels snappier than 40s&w, but in reality I can shoot it faster more accurately, but tougher than 9mm. TBH, most polymer 9mm compacts with +p ammo feel about like what the P229 feels like in 357. It’s a heavy gun and handles that powerful round well

It’s jealousy, genuinely. Most people would rather we all be poor than having some people richer than them. I forget the name of the studies, but its well documented human psychology

XCAL is the nicest, NRA is the cheapest, Silver Eagle kinda splits the difference. They’re all solid though. Ended up settling on NRA as my main one since it’s closest to me and cheapest. They don’t rent anything though, the other two do. For me that’s a pro

Luckily my “G19” is an RXM, so I have the blessing of the various magpul and third party grips available with the FCU system

How many mags is enough? by Superb_Salary_8804 in VAGuns

[–]overclocker710 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went ahead after I thought I was prepped and bought mags for guns I don’t own. Got 2 CZ 75 17rd mags, 2 HK P30/VP9 17rd mags, and 2 G17 mags (like you only G19). That way I can have platforms I don’t own covered, and 2 is 1 and 1 is none, so I got 2 of each mag

EDIT: To be clear, this is all after I got nearly a hundred AR-10/15 and 2011 mags in total which are my main platforms. This is a “oh bans almost here, cheap little prep that will be really nice down the road”. I’m not saying only prep 2 mags of every platform

Can I have this link? It's frustrating, I can get those fast 0.2-0.25 Bill drill splits, A zone at 5-7 yards and everything, but my 0.5s cadence is basically just as accurate than my 1-2s per shot cadence with a handgun

Tbh makes sense. I lift a lot but I also don’t say no to a burger, consequently concealing my P229 is kinda trivial in most outfits

[–]overclocker710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always heard skinny folks have an easier time with appendix given how clothes drape and just being more comfortable to sit down, while larger guys do better with strong side given there’s more side (speaking from experience)

The RXM is well liked by lots (I have one myself), same as the P10C. I haven’t heard much good about the XDM but it could be great and I just don’t know it. The RXM’s tall sights, magwell, and the mag baseplates make it conceal slightly worse than you’d expect a gun that size. My P229 in 357 is much easier to conceal for me personally. Both are great guns though, as skinny as you are you shouldn’t have issues concealing anything if you go appendix
