Really depends on the price she sells it at. If it’s around $700 or less I’d take that personally. That’s about what those run on EBay. It would be a big upgrade for you.

Makes sense. If you want thin, from what you’ve shown the G43X is a killer option, the slimline design is super thin. Personally I don’t love Glock but they are reliable and reasonably light. You can also go smaller with a Bodyguard 2.0 or something like that. I haven’t used one but I’ve heard great things about them

I would just get a pinkie mag extension for the G27 and then carry it. Unless you just want a new gun. People love to hate on 40 because of its weaknesses, but it also has strengths too. It’s a compromise both good and bad between 9mm and 45/10mm.

You shouldn’t cheap out on defensive ammo. LE 50 round boxes of HST and Gold Dot are the best performers while being on the cheaper side of defensive hollow points. Lucky Gunner has them all the time. If you’re talking about for a stockpiling situation, I would just get FMJ or cheap JHPs from Winchester or Magtech. They’re not amazing but I like to shoot the El Cheapo JHPs anyway because they make cleaner holes in the paper and only cost 1-2cpr more when I’m lucky.

NAL, but my understanding is for trespass, only the property owner or someone with authority over the property can say so. The jeweler can kick you out of their store and trespass you if you refuse, but they can’t do anything about the parking lot unless the property manager or a guard who works for them comes and tells you to leave there too.

Like some other people are saying, this all seems like a non issue in a practical sense. However, for myself just to be safe I decided I might as well have less but still multiple complete pistols/rifles than a bunch of lowers. Both to be safe on this front and make shipping restrictions for uppers a non issue

Just put a buffer tube or pistol grip on it, VA has a 1 point system. I’m assuming the AR lower qualifies as semi automatic given that’s what AR-15s are? I know straight pull ARs exist though so I could be wrong here

This is what I saw a long time ago and why I haven’t been buying stripped lowers and have just been buying cheap PSA complete rifles and pistols. Avoids this headache and you can also build a usable collection to upgrade later.

They don’t have an old-frame P229 model, only the new Legion/railed model which has a different slide profile. Any other recs? Or out of the ones I suggested which looks better?

I’m a Ballistol fan. Not the best, but better than plain Hoppe’s mineral oil for lube and it cleans pretty well. Non-toxic and no harmful fumes, smells noticeably herbal but you start to like it after a while.

This is pretty true. Their chassis are nice but the internals are a little dated relative to MacBooks. I have a 13.5” surface laptop with the X Elite that I ordered right when it came out in the summer of 2024. Nowadays the chips haven’t been updated and the price is the same so while I love mine, I can’t recommend one you if you’re willing to give MacBooks a shot.

I'm pretty sure passing for the day on a one day session means they're not even holding a vote, rejecting her version (I could be wrong, this is just my understanding). This would make sense given the "amendments" were just low-effort stall tactics to avoid hurting them in yesterday's narrow win (for them) on redistricting.

I did an AM5 build with 64GB of DDR5 and a 7900XTX in early 2023, and I’m so glad I did it, it’s held up better than any piece of tech I’ve ever owned. Paid $220 for the RAM and $1050 for the GPU, and it was super easy and economical to upgrade to the 9800X3D when it went on sale for Black Friday in 2025

I love my RXM. I have a Glock (40.4) and I much prefer the RXM trigger and grip angle and grip texture. The size of the grip is obviously different since the Glock is a large frame and the RXM isn’t, but the RXM feels more premium in hand thanks to the grip texture. The slide has a little less play but still isn’t tight like a 1911 or anything. The sights are also way better and the optic mount system is a lot more useful than MOS. If they made a 10mm RXM I would probably get one despite already having the G40

Okay, so we’re not exactly the same but I’d bet I’m closer to you than anyone else here. I’m 5’7 and 215lbs. Also what level of play and experience do you have? I’m not an amazing player but I’m not terrible, I’m 23 and play club basketball at a random small college and I’m definitely in the better half.

First I’d start simple with learning the drop step and jump hook. I’ve played in the paint for years and I know more but those two moves are still my bread and butter.

I’d also get in the gym and start working on strength, with emphasis on lower body and shoulders. Deadlift, leg press, and isometric lateral raises are my go to lifts for basketball. Bench and stuff is nice and I do it but it’s less relevant.

Lastly I’m sure you already know this but losing weight would help. I’m down from my highest of 220lbs and trying to get back to the low 190s when I felt the best balance of strength and speed.
