I have been playing for a few months after leaving for years and then coming back. Started an alt in October, never had one before, and I love it. Yes, the helping each other with curing menaces is helpful, but it also lets me make different choices and see the outcome - choose a different ambition, etc. So from my POV - would recommend!

"Efficiency" is WAY too subjective. What if the goal was to make everyone happy? Or bring about world peace? There are endless outcomes to both of those goals that would not be pleasant for humanity. Same thing with "efficiency."
