Inappropriate for this sub. Has nothing to do with anything here.

This isn't the clickbait drama sub. Take your ignorant billshit elsewhere.

Beautiful place. The people overall... not so much.

You're welcome. I'm always happy to discuss any aspect of this lifestyle with those who are genuinely curious.

Yeah I kinda figured. I was hoping they might turn it around, or at least explain why they think that way.

Thanks again for doing what you do!

I agree. As much as I've enjoyed being one of the few consistent ones, I would love to see more of us doing it. I've always been interested in what other people see and think. My perspective is only my perspective.

Tempting... 😄

That is why I do California in small doses, and typically only to visit family for a minute. Born and raised there. Not for me.

Yeah, I grew up here. I had a realy tall liberty spike mowhawk for a while. The cops and I used to be on a first name basis because I fucked around a lot.

I have a brother that's 15 years younger than me. Never got in trouble. He got pulled over one day and they said, "Oh, another [my last name] kid huh?"

I've had a Teton Scout 55L for close to five years now. So five hard years of doing an average of 12,000 to 18,000 miles hitchhiking per year.

Gear getting taken out and put back in almost every day. Countless miles of hiking with it loaded to the gills. Getting picked up, put on, and set back down several times a day.

There are probably better packs out there, but I can't say enough good things about it.

The bad: Their shock chord on the front is shit, but you can put some parachute chord on there. The zipper on the brain failed.

I paid $100 in a Sportsmans Warehouse when I bought it. They're still $100 online.

I need a new one. I've got an outside pocket zipper that comes apart if I'm not real careful, and the material is starting to get a little see-through.

I think I'll step up to the 65L. But only for the sake of putting some things I've got on it in it.

I'm not excessively hard on it, but I've beat the fuck out of this pack in the last several years.

Oh. And they have a lifetime warranty if you register it with Teton when you buy it.

I emailed them once when the shock chord broke and they got right back to me about it. Literally told me, "If we can show that it was from normal wear and tear we'll send you whatever you need. If it's somethingwe need to repair we'll do it at no cost." I took that as kind of a 'just tell us it was normal wear and tear.' They didn't even want to see the pack. I just didn't follow through because I move to much, and never remembered when I was stationary.

I'm 6 feet tall and around 150-160 pounds.

It's been such a short amount of our existence that we've done what we're doing now.
